From my current location, it took me FOREVER to get to Zora’s Domain. Non stop rain, enemies using lightning based attacks. And during the long trip there, a Blood Moon! Because, why not?!
So some of these shrines aren’t all puzzles. Two of them were straight up fights. Nothing really tough since I had plenty of food and good gear on me. Later on, though, I expect things to get dicey.
10k rupies isn’t much in this game, mark stone talus locations and farm them every blood moon I get like 7k rupees with 30 min of farming. I only had to do it 3 or 4 times to buy literally everything that costs rupees in the game.
Yeah, I should mark all the spots where I find Stone Talus monsters. They’re especially useful now since I’ve encountered NPCs that want ore to repair certain items and that jewelry shop.
I defeated my first Lynel, a white-maned one. That slam that they do has a blind spot.
I just scored my first few stealth kills. The Sheikah gear is godlike. I heard it had good stealth abilities but I didn’t know it would let me get right behind certain enemies without them even knowing I’m there. That Bokoblin was just chilling in some ruins and didn’t see that sword to the back of the head comin’!
the best strategy against a lynel is to just wait for them to dash in at you with their sword or to bite you. you can usually do a side hop or a back flip and score good damage on them.
if you try to brawl with them or run around a lot you will almost certainly lose.
I was shooting me some deer and this Bokoblin came and and snatched up my deer meat! That chump caught an arrow in the head before he could take one bite! Get your own deer meat!
I just need to practice dodging. I can’t do it very well in this game. Specifically vs the Lynel in the castle took me out 5 times. What makes that fight hard is the flying skulls that keep respawning due to that purple crap making them.
when hes charging you with the sword, wait for him to be reasonably close and when you see his sword go down to hit you, thats when you do the backflip
