Well, it won’t boot the OS, but I can still access the files when I put it on my external dock, so I’ll take that as a victory. Need to order a new HD and back up the files. This HD has had fucked up pins and issues for a long time now, so this is a good opportunity to get rid of it.

I don’t think the website you use is going to be the main hurdle when you’re trying to get viewers. If that’s your goal, you need to figure out how to gain exposure and keep your viewer base. What is going to keep them from going to another stream? You need something to captivate them in a short amount of time. Will you be obnoxious like Phantomlord? Calm and informative like Scarra? Drunk and cynical like Saint? Basically, you have to find that X-Factor that’ll draw in the random masses, since you don’t have a past reputation and you’re not tagged as a pro player. Once you have a set viewer base, then you can worry about which platform/website you’re using. Just make sure the quality is good and most people won’t care. I might be missing something essential though, since a ton of streamers moved over to Twitch not too long ago.
