Lol that’d actually be good in solo queue. Laners get so afraid of the junglers sometimes they forget to be afraid of their actual opponent. Being two or even 3 pots down is so hard to deal with.
On another not, I keep getting people who are just salt mines when I want to play weird stuff. I swear I’ve probably had people threaten me more for something like Jax mid more than you’d get it for actually just afking. People are crazy, too wrapped up in what the best people do in champion select and not in what they do in game.

I ended up 5/1 in laning phase then we got bodied 
I had a team that let me play Vayne mid and I shit all over the enemy TF, I guess cause I asked them nicely they let me do it :3
Well think about it from their point of view. They don’t know you worth shit and when you get support mundo’s that go 0-12 in laning phase you start to lose faith in odd meta changes. Mid Olaf isn’t so weird but mid Vayne against TF? That should never work. Not only can TF just freely push the lane and gank but the jungle gank on vayne mid with her horrible range would be pretty free. I personally don’t care but if you are doing this in ranked a lot of people care about their elo points.
The current meta hasn’t been around for so long because it doesn’t work well.
It isn’t so much that Jax can’t go mid as that you then have to find someone else to go top, generally, assuming you want a balanced damage spread, which you usually do, that has to be an AP character of some description. There are only so many good AP tops, and a lot of them don’t see much play.
I hate when people pick top laners mid because of this. Now, I don’t rage, at least not in chat, and I generally at least give it a shot, but I find it annoying to be forced by my teammates into picking from a small champion pool., or from having to pray that someone can play an AP top competently. It’s hard enough trusting people to play OP shit properly, let alone Orianna top, or something.
The reason standard shit develops, particularly in solo queue, is that it gets proven to work, or at least to be easier to get to work. Putting them with a support is the easiest way to be sure(-ish) that an AD carry can get the farm he/she needs. Having blue/level reliant AP characters, many of whom have very specific methods of wave control and ganking ability, ensures access small jungle camps, blue buff, other lanes, and dragon. Junglers increase uncertainty in lane and team wide exp and gold.
I’m sure that with perfect coordination and execution, you could orchestrate some truly ridiculous shit in LoL, with crazy lane transitions and whatnot, but why risk that when there’s a very straightforward method to ensure at least the possibility of success with minimal teamwork?
Moreover, one occurrence of success does not dictate a solid strategy.

Pretty much this. As much as I know the meta is not set in stone and can change drastically at any given time if someone finds something effective and/or stupid, I’d rather not trust my ELO to complete strangers who want to do fancy stuff. You see Froggen taking Lee Sin mid you accept it but that’s because you know who he is, how good he is and most important of all, you can trust that he knows what he’s doing. Random ladder guy #123511 with 22 ranked matches played on the other hand? Not so much.
I just want the safe and effective so I can get my shitty gold ELO skins. Normals and premades though? Feel free to go crazy.

i was gonna ranked out the season buts become a stale mate and waste of time. started good too. went +75 elo in like 10 games or so. then got 3 fucking troll games in a row. now i wanna play old tt before its gone. not really a fan of the buff platforms as a replacement to actually buffs.

You guys don’t understand though, I play SOLO QUEUE. I don’t care if you’ve had bad experiences or about our team comp. My role or feed as simple as that. Also, lolking ruined solo queue.

I def agree to jungle + mid being the best for duo. I do it often with my buddy.
I think this further goes towards your statements in our last set that I should probably try and specialize AP mid in our duos.
