yes you can do that. but you have to wait for a split second to input the command for ad/df lk lk. although i’d recommend ad/d lk lk since it’s easier and places you in a nice angle. and you can do a lot of things after that s.hk (Shockwave, sj.cancel to lk lk, HGxxTempest etc… be creative)
lol im not suggesting anyone ever dash backwards im just saying it is possible for ur execution to be so flawless that u can dash down/back and connect the infinite.
and i guess i should be clear for u ppl on my case, u can air dash down/back, down, or down/foward
this is just a method i used on my arcade stick that helped me get the timing down but it was probrably most likely discussed in this thread but anyway…i set the macro punch button above the lk and used 2 fingers to press it and during training mode i got the timing down with both my fingers on that one button i was able to do the ROM in about a weekend of practice after switching back to using the 2 buttons…this helped me out a bunch maybe it’ll help others
Ur talking about the solo infinite set up. The launch>Rh> -addf- lk, lk part?
Ur saying you can add or addb lk lk or what?
solo set-up
i figured out what i was doing wrong with the lauch>rh>addf>lk>lk part of the solo set up. i was actually trying to addf too fast. I would hit them with the first lk while they were high and have a hard time hitting them low enough with the second lk. by waiting a hair of a second after hitting them with the rh to do the addf it actually made it easier to keep them lower and gave me more time ti sj or s.rhxxshockwave. i’m still practicing that rom.
i’m gonna try that. i have a difficult time pressing lp+hp at the same time. If i can rom in 3 days then i’ll send you mvc2 on atari 2600.

u can do that or
lk lk ad/d lk lk or lk lk ad/db lk lk and switch back and forth inbetween reps if u want to show off.
also i read that u said u did the ad/df to fast, well actually u can keep the same speed ur doing but do the RH faster.
and if u have a console at home use the “R” shoulder button on your controller as dash and then u can get used to the timing
if u learn how to do it fast and how to do it slow it might help u find which timming u want the best, if u do the c.hp sj.RH ad/df lk lk (slowly) land and do a c.hp xx magnetic shockwave it will connect which i find easier then doing a s.rh xx shockwave
Personally i like the s.rh better for the flash effect. That thing is lovely because people think they can get out of it and then BAM… they get sent accross the level and have to live with mags foot trijumping in their face. That is good info to know tho. I have trouble doing the sj.rh fast for some reason. i don’t think i can do it any faster. i get them pretty close to the ground. i’ll get back to you on that one. and ima try those different airdashes for flash effect. I have to get my 2 fingers to work together and i’ll be happy and nearly satisfied. I mean how much more about magneto could there be???
It’s easier to connect s.rh than c.hp.
yeah i guess ur right cuz the opponent has to be alot lower for the c.hp to connect but i never practed canceling the s.rh after one hit but maybe ill try that.
Like i said before… it’s mad nice when you connect that s.rh. My favorite sj.cancel is the s.rh cancel. Maybe you already know it but if you don’t then learn that cuz it lets you put together some nasty lookin combos.
my favorite rom variation =
launch /\ sj.hk, addf, lk, mp / [dash foward, s.lp, s.hk xx sj cancel xx adD, lk, mk]
for resets i usually do it after the first sj. cancel of the hk because they tend to be amazed and caught off guard for a second ex
launch /\ sj.hk, addf, lk. mp / dash foward, s.lp, s.hk xx sj cancel xx adD, lk, HP / c.lk, c.hk (FS) and then reset just like you were to do in a 5 fierce situation.
I’m having tr trouble with the sentinel j.lp>j.lk>j.mp>j.mk infinite. do i jump straight up or do i move. i just can’t juggle that fool.
Also i’m interested in some good ways to finish the rom.
u jump forward, its like the ironman infinite and u HAVE to switch it up if ur just doing a normal jump.

I once heard that you cant start the rom with just the normal c.hp launcher instead of the c.hp, sj.rh bit. But for some reason it works for me. Does it mean it wont work if the opponent trys to block. I do it in training mode. Havnt yet tried it on a human player. But can someone please explain:confused:
You can do it straight from c.hp, except it’s very difficult med/large characters and downright impossible on smaller characters.
r u sure cause i tried to do it against the cpu but after the first lk lk they were able to block. THis sucks cause im on the xbox and i finally did an infinite with the damn thing. any tips on using the xbox controller would be nice.
Don’t bother learning how to. Just because it’s possible on Sent doesn’t mean you should try it.
