The last ROM thread...info on how to perform the ROM infinite inside

I’ve only been playing since summer of last year, I went n00b to amatuer in a year. No rest.

I believe in positioning while preforming the ROM, so becuz of the position of the opponent on 1 lk on the way up i chose it, IMO 2 kicks on the way up doesn’t work. (except on sent and Juggs)

EDIT: Rdaint I like your av, I wish mines was like that.

lol.

i dont get it. 2 lks on the way up on juggs and sent works pretty well for me. [sj.lk lk, addf lk lp lk.]

EDIT: Thanks for the compliment(i think). i just made it myself. it’s crap compared to other people here, with movin’ av’s or some sort.

Busy on works and just involved in a car accident last 2 week…
Car broken… still repairing in workshop, no transport to arcade… :wasted:

Me lost the spirit to play game like last time… everyday, non-stop playing…
now may be getting ‘older’ or after college life, got not much time to spend on gaming.
it is really too long time for resting, now i even can’t easily get a win from a normal player in arcade.
the only skill remain on me is the cheating Cable guard break + ahvb x 2-3…

 I feel your pain

argh i dont know if im making progress. i can do the movements and connect and do 3 reps but it doesnt combo i think i have to do the dash and lk more simontaneously but its hard man jeeze.

Haha… thanks.
If i got time to train 10hrs continuously in a week, i believe i can get back my rusty skill.
Just need to improve too, others players improve a lot in these 4 yrs.

I have the same problem when starting do in Cable, I believe this is because of the opponent in the wrong level. (may be too high)
Will share this when i solve the problem.

Can’t view the full video… what the heck of this guy doing??

Just tried yesterday mid-night, the problem ad.df below the opponent mostly due to un-successfully doing s.j after land, and also the 2nd s.j lk pause a while after 1st sj.lk.

c.hp, sj.rh, ad df lk, ad.lk, land, [sj.lk, (pause) sj.lk (pause) addf, ad.lk, ad.lk, land] - repeat in brackets

Just tried for 2 hours. This rom can let me doing 17+hits against Cable/Mag.
But, against Sent. This must NOT pause… and doing fast.
That’s why making me confuse…

and the s.j sometime is straight up, not diagonal up…

Okay, so I’m kind of getting the hang of it now, but I’m having trouble keeping them at the right height. By any chance does it go like this?

c.lk + psy, c.lk, c.lk, c.hk (sjc) ad/df + lk, (pause) lk, sj.lk, lk, ad/df + lk, (pause) lk etc…

Taking note on the pauses…

It’s easier to sjxx the c.hk into sj.lk sj.mk addf sj.d+lk sj.mk rather than addf sj.d+lk sj.mk.

If you want to improve your timing, pause TOO long between the pair of kicks. You’ll be surprised at how much hit stun you have to play with.

yea, unless you do 1.lk on the way up. then its about half as long of a hit stun which doesnt matter since you’d have to do it faster anyway if you’re using 1lk

but 1 lk wil keep them at an average height when 2 lks will slowly send them upwards.

I just discovered that part of the success rate of the ROM infinite is the height of the enemy b4 you start the infinite, usually you would reset the infinite after 4 reps, but for some reason, the higher the enemy is b4 the infinite dictates how low they bounce off of the mk.
I found that 2 lks on the way up works at a stable height depepnding on the starting point, but this makes it harder because you can barely reach the enemy when you addf+2 lks.
So you can combine both 2 lks and 1 lk.

if you insist on doing this combo, i’d prefer the ad after the sjc cancel to be just vertical.(not df or db). set’s them up real low, and you can do a lot of resets from that position IMO.

I actually find it easier to tri jump… Does it make that much of a difference?

tried it a few times. the difference is that mags is slightly off angle and a little bit away from the opponent(ad/db version). i don’t know with the ad/df one though.

for example, one good reset off that vertical ad would be a fast crossup then c.hk (not recommended against storm or dhalsim though). comes out pretty fast but is harder to pull off when you did the ad/db version obviously. just my opinion.

Well I just got it sussed, finnaly… Here’s my method for those still trying… I find this is the easiest set-up as it leaves them nicely low to the ground…

c.lk + Psy, c.lk, c.lk, c.hk, sjc/u ad/d + lk, lk

From here i noticed you need to keep them as low to the ground as possible, so the bast way I found is to…

sju.lk, lk, ad/df + lk (*pause) lk, land

*Doing the first to lk’s up as fast as possible stops them from floating too high, then on the way down you need to slow the second lk allowing them to drop down to the ground a little…

did u ever try the try jump rom

its the normal set up c.hp /\ sj.hk ad/df j.lk j.lk land then super jump up and ad/df j.lk j.lk land super jump ad/df j.lk j.lk repeat. u have to do it really fast and if u can pull off that infinite then u probably can do tri jump ad/df j.lk j.lk land repeat on any standing character. it is similar to storms sj. ad/df lk hk infinite on standing ppls

yes i can rom (with an arcade stick). i did it twice lol
i never tried doing the magic series ad magic series HG XX Magnetic tempest comboes. so i tried them just to see if my fingers can actually move that fast.

and to my amazement i did it so i was like OGMGOMG and then i tried hte rom and did it was like OGOGMGOG
i kinda like c.hp lk mk ad/uf lk mk HG XX MT
