The last ROM thread...info on how to perform the ROM infinite inside

thanx, j chan, but i think i like it w/o the hypr grav better, plus psylocke just drops them in mag’s chest…

just use psy instead of the hypergrav. If u use hypergav they might mash out.

Theres quite of bit of shit you could do after the rom. I think there is a thread about it somewhere in the magneto section.

peace

SKJ

its always better w/o hyp grav. but on ps2 or dc is nearly impossible to mash out

I started practicing the rom 2 days ago, 2-3 hours a day, this thread is great, i read up on it, and tried the infinite, and nothing. Then i read more and i realized some problems, i can do about 11 hits on sentinel now, but i have a long way too go. Now its all about timing really especially this part, PAUSE ad.df lk PAUSE lk. (the hardest part of the infinite). The initial sj.lk sj.lk is easy. Great post.

Wasabe!

One day you will land many hit, legend speaks of 50 before opponent dizzys out, make sure you end ROM before this when you reach this level…

wind blows through cape and looks onward to the rising Sun

thats the way to go! practice  the real test is actually doing against ur opponents im telling its much harder actually getting it out on ur opponents…funny i can do the rom on dc but not ps2 the buttons are alot bigger than dcs so less room to work with

i was just wondering, for the ROM, is there a reason why people don’t use jabs instead of lk’s for the first part before u dash downforward with lk’s

[sj.lk ,lk ad/df lk ,lk].

Is it damage setting or just a matter of preference ?

I’se just likes to use lp’s to make everything look pretty. Kinda give it the “Whoooaaa!!” affect even 9though its pretty simple to perform. Mostly just preference :karate:

its sort of a habbit for me to do with the kick since i practiced with the kick oftenly than using the punch

Super bump! Yeah though my thoughts exactly…

I roll cancel, Rom infinite, and kara throw all using the claw method because its easier to me.

Sliding my fingers = a no.

Hey… I’ve read all 16 pages of this thread and been prac-in the ROM pretty consistently… but my problem is a little weird. At first like everyone I had problems with the ad df lk part. I tried not using either method but it could never work (only on extremely rare occasions). I tried using slide method but my fingers would accidentally press other buttons or would slide too slow or some other crap. Anyway I tried using the claw method and I’m having some success with it. Problem now is that whenever I want to air dash during the ROM I always end up pressing hp a little too soon before pressing lp. Is it how I’m positioning my fingers while using the claw method or is it that it’s a habit from drumming fingers on surfaces thus making me automatically move my middle finger faster than my index finger? Should I just continue prac-in and hope one day I’ll suddenly be able to do it in my sleep or should I find a solution as to why I’m pressing hp too soon? Whenever I’m trying to do the ROM and I’m trying to keep in mind to press both punch buttons at once I’ll screw something else up since I’m focusing too much on air dashing. Any tips? ideas? thanks for your help.
I know it’s a weird problem but…

Wow I just sort of solved my problem. Now I’m literally using the claw method to doing the ROM. Basically i sort of slightly tense up my fingers in a very “claw” like position. Heck the tip of my middle finger is literally vertical to compensate for my earlier problem. I started out before hadn with only 10 hit combo(rarely) to going suddenly doing a 29 hit combo. However that was one of but at least now I’m consistently dashing properly more. Now all I need to do is practice more.
BTW, for people who use the claw method, do you guys play the whole game using the claw method even with other characters and stuff you do you guys like automatically switch to “claw position” when it’s time to ROM?

i use claw for everyone for some reason. though occasionally if i play cable i just play normal

OH ok… do you also put your ring finger on assist a and your pinky on assist b? that’s how I do it i think… wow i’m acutally using all my fingers unlike the previous street fighter or versus games

on november 1st I actually got 50 hits in and he dizzied out, and i was doing it on cable, too bad i didn’t read this post before  but yes, if you practice about 10 hours a week you can get the ROM down in about 2.5 weeks. At least I did, and I mean down as in consistent 5+ reps. Now im going to work on ending the ROM with and without assists.

oh and I use slide method. gl to every new person trying out the ROM, have patience and practice hard!

first of all gj  and hell yea!!! i use my pinky as an assist but i like slide method better less confusion but keep practicing

thanks…
now I’ve got another question… it’s not really about ROM but partly related.
When you guys do tri-jumps with HK do you use the same method as you did as in ROM or does everyone use slide method? If I try doing it using claw method my hand is at an awkward position and I mentioned before I suck at slide method.
So I guess I’ll have to learn slide method also huh?

i dont use any of the methods well its like 2 thirds of the claw i dont use my thumb jus the index and middle u can go slowly and the trijump works pretty good.

thumb method forever!

all the other magnus’ players here use slide… i think slide has the advantage… no matter how fast i try to do the trijump, the slide method is always fatser… why is that guys? ccan smbody explain it to me? when i trijump using thumb method, magnus floats… my trijump is fast though but the slide method is a little faster… why is that?

uhhhhhh  coincidence???
