The Last of Us

I don’t think that’s what the file was saying, I think it was saying that no other person they tested on had a condition similar to Ellies, which was why they were so excited to see her.

Archive of my last TLoU session HERE. This shit is hard :shake:

I keep telling you man it’s not to difficult, just be strong in numbers and gun and you will win. It’s no different from mgo rules.

Actually it’s EASIER than mgo. because there are less factors to consider.

Once you start leveling you’ll be fine, but you should do supply raid instead.

Stop making the game like rocket science, people on there are stupider than you think lol.

What Combo_Knight is saying is sad but true. It’s amazing how dumb people are. Pick Covert 2, get someone’s attention then start sprinting away from them, crouch and hide behind a box and watch as they run right past you (still looking for you), then shiv them in the neck. Free kills in almost every game.

Also, Brawler is a fantastic skill. One-hit melee kills are one of the best things in the game, IMO.

My current favorite loadout is:

Spoiler

-Revolver (0 points)
-Hunting Rifle (unsilenced - 2 points)
-Covert Training 3 (5 points)
-Brawler 1 (2 points)
-First Aid 2 (4 points)
13 points total. You don’t start with that many points, but once you get through your first Factions scenario (12 in-game weeks), you should have at least 11 or 12. I think it takes 7500 total resources before you’re maxed out on loadout points.

Revolver because I always go for the gun upgrades before anything, and when revolver is level 2 (after 800 parts total cost), I feel it’s one of the best guns in the game.
Hunting Rifle - honestly I mainly use as a pair of binoculars, for marking enemies. Headshot kills are also awesome, especially on maps like Dam or Bill’s Town.
Covert Training 3 - gives me a shiv every time I spawn, it lets me be undetectable via Listen Mode as long as I’m crouching (90% of the time), and also makes it so I cannot be marked. This is incredible for when you get overwhelmed and need to run and hide to regroup with your team.
Brawler 1 - This boosts your one-hit melee kill to two uses, which is very valuable since it seems like bindings are the thing I get least.
First Aid 2 - Not only do you heal yourself faster, but you can also heal your teammates without using any supplies. In fact, you get parts for healing your teammates, and it costs you nothing except time. Very beneficial for everyone involved - they save their health packs, you get money towards upgrades/ammo.

There are a surprising amount of viable combinations, including not picking a primary weapon and instead specializing in Collector 2 (20% parts earned) and relying on purchasable weapons. I particularly like the flamethrower because I love to troll people in close quarters (if you haven’t gathered that already…), and the machete is nice too if you don’t want to spec into Brawler.

I like my loadout. I love the balance. I don’t go anywhere without it unless I’m doing a mission.

Revolver or 9mm
Silenced Weapon

Covert ops 2
First Aid Training 1
Crafter 1
Explosive Expert 1

The speed in which Crafter and First Aid allows me to engage, back off and set up, or heal quickly in a tight spot makes the gameplay much more fluid and allows me to move around more than most. Saved my butt plenty of times when I need to quickly craft a weapon to blow a group of people; or when someone has wounded me, I go to heal and they come chasing after me thinking I’ll go down with 2 punches then I blow their brains out.

I run different classes but covert and hawk eye are always mandatory.

with my hunting bow I run
Covert 3 and Hawkeye 3

Now that I’m going back to the sniper rifle, I run

covert 1

Hawkeye 2

Rifle 1 sometimes i just omit this for a higher hawk

Milita Rifle

I hate it when people don’t make use of SOP type things like that. everyone should be running that.

You need to utilize what your opponent is doing behind cover. That’s how you further your positioning and flanking game.

Note you can’t pinpoint covert 3 directly, however if you have hawkeye 3 you can put covert 3s on the map via proxy.

if all you are doing is running around punching people I most likely already hate you, because you aint doing shit for me lol.

I’ve Lurked around the official boards a bit and a lot of people don’t use it because they believe it is “unfair” and scrubby.

They’re retarded. And they have never played a gane of mgo in their uncharted lives. The hard counter is covert/ strategist. They are just a bunch of weak ass punk ass pussies and shocked be mocked as such.

/CK:MGOElitistmode

P.s. you know what is scrubby? Seeing a person and not pointing his location out in the clearest way possible.

THAT is scrubby.

Survivor difficulty is OUTRAGEOUS. I’m trudging along though.

I’ve learned not to open the shiv doors, as the sum of parts it takes to MAKE ONE SHIV often exceeds what you find within the room. So…many…empty…rooms. If Ellie didn’t find/throw you ammo, there are parts of TLoU on Survivor that would not be possible to get past.

Some good multiplayer tips straight from the PS Blog

Source: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/07/26/the-last-of-us-multiplayer-24-survival-tips/?CMP=US_PS3_TheLastofUs_20130726_10171544

In your opinion, what’s the overall best purchasable weapon in multiplayer?

I feel that the revolver is one of the best, since it’s hella cheap and insta-kills via headshot. Plus on levels such as the Dam, you can snipe better with that thing than the bolt-action rifle.

I don’t have the military sniper, so I can’t say anything about that weapon.

Also, do any of you guys know what’s the maximum loadout points you can have? I’ve just got 12 so far, so I don’t know how many more can you get.

Revolver and semi-auto rifle are probably the best guns in the game when fully upgraded, IMO. 9mm is also pretty beast when fully upgraded, but it eats ammo QUICK.

Max points are 13.

Military peels back wigs, and steals lives off the counter.

For every headshot you make you earn the worth of the bullets back so you can purchase more ammo.

I really like the game, I was expecting it to be lighthearted but ND did a good job not following the cheerful trend from the UC games. I’m worried though. What if this really happens. I mean, in IRL.

The worst part of that being “It is not known what type of fungus it is

And then:

**My current thoughts on the multiplayer
**

Armour is stupid and should be removed. If not, it should cost way more points.

Theoretically I think the Bow is the best weapon in the game, not counting purchasable weapons. Here’s why:

  • High damage. Shreds armour like paper and downs a person in two shots. Headshot instant down.
    -Quick fire rate.
  • Great range.
  • Silent by default, so it saves you a loadout point.
  • Can reclaim arrows. This pretty much makes it so that you never run out of ammo with the bow, which means you get to spend your points elsewhere.

The only downside to it is that it can be hard to aim at time and takes some getting used to. All of which can be remedied by practice.

Class stuff

I’ve been playing for a few days on my cousins PS3 to help him unlock shit, and I’ve been doing a bit of experimenting with loadouts. Trying to come up with some filthy set ups instead of my usual stuff.

Shotty Class

This is a really fuckin’ fun class to use. The theory behind it is to constantly have the Shotgun available for the entire match, which makes you really scary to confront and almost guarantees all close range gun fights.

Revolver

Covert Ops 2
Crafter 2
Brawler

Shotgun

With this class you use crafter to constantly feed into your shotgun, and keep the ammo up. The downside to this class is that it’s dependant of how well you’re doing. When you’re doing good this class is beast, but if you waste resources and fuck up a lot it quickly becomes bottom tier. You could also go for Crafter 3 for better gift making.

Top fucking tier?

So I’m thinking that this class is probably top tier as hell. I’ve been using it a lot and doing extremely well with it.

Revolver

Crafter 2
Explosion Expert 2
Covert Training 3
Reviver

The Revolver is pretty sick; It’s just a mini Semi Auto. With pistol only you can mix and match all sorts of perks, and since you only have to manage one weapon, you can cheaply upgrade it and have plenty ammo. You’ll have so many points with this class that you can literally spam armour constantly once you’ve upgraded your shit. Obviously you have to play well also. You could swap covert 3 for crafter 3, you can get first aid training in there, this shit is ridiculous. I don’t even feel handicapped with the Revolver because it’s really not that different from the semi auto imo. Just the reload time.

While I agree with your ideas on the bow. I believe the most broken item is the semi auto. It’s rate of fire is way to good as well as it’s damage out put. In conjunction with armor it makes a lot of weapons invalid and disrespects all ranges of combat.

The bow while a very strong weapon is hard countered in just about all scenarios by the Sniper rifles. As the readying for a bow causes an upright stance which makes your head easier to hit.
Although the readying itself is not only to blame because it takes longer for bow wielder to accurately hit a target from a distance I can place my rifle shot right at a bow users head whether that be head on or hidden. Especially more dangerous with a militia rifle.

At close range the revolver eats people up in about 3 shots. So I’m normally safe.

I find armor to be obnoxious, and I play an akuma style of play. No armor high damage high execution.

Hard counters to the sniper are armor wearing semi auto toters. Worst thing in history.

Yeah I agree that the Semi-Auto is the best right now and pretty ridiculous. All purpose and great range.

Although the Sniper counters the bow at long distance, the sniper is so bad anyway that it’s pretty much irrelevant, and it’s hardly ever seen. Unless you’re popping headshots constantly you’re pretty much never going to kill anyone without assistance because of the shitty rate of fire and damage. You can literally out snipe snipers in this game with the Semi-Auto and revolver. Hunting Rifle deserves a buff imo.

Yeah, fuck armour though lol.

I kinda want to play now and unlock all those abilities/perks…

Back to the god mode avatar? Yesh!

Yeah, Gorilla Prime too stronk.
