The Last of Us

If someone made a sitcom of the entire story I’d buy it!

I just got done with the game. Truly great game. It got some feels out of it. I was very impressed with the environments in this game. While everything was a wreck I marveled at the whole nature retaking everything vibe it had.
Winter chapter is definitely my favorite part of the game. I laughed how the cannibals were afraid of a 14 year old girl. This is when Ellie becomes badass and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I get the feeling that Ellie knows that Joel is lying to her in the ending.
Spoiler

I think it’s rather she doubts Joel when he says he swears when she gave the face or that could also be it too…

reflected yesterday on the remnants of a play through I had made of the game from my flash drive and a few let’s plays on youtube

Spoiler

still think the story needs more life, not for nothing I think the story of joel and ellie is good but I feel like world they exist in is a bit empty

So i have been watching bits and pieces of playthroughs. I am not even remotely interested in playing this but wtf are these zombies? Are they fucking plant people? Those clickers just look fuckin crazy.

Pretty much.

You have infected aka “Runners” who are your typical crack fiend zombies. Clickers, who are Runners that have been exposed to the infection long enough to mutate. Then you have Bloaters which I think is a second stage mutation, not sure.

They’re infected with Cordyceps unilateralis… dood!

Good example, I remember that episode actually. Had to break it down to a nigga next to me in class that it was this thing growing inside the ant

Actual I remember that spisode too. shit freaked me the fuck out.
That actually might be why the clickers freak me out so much.
OG RE zombies just plain scare the shit outta me but these clickers just freak me the fuck out.

The puss and pod growth makes my skin crawl but bthat’s about all I get, so it’s similar to if I saw a bug.

I was more freaked out by the corpses the infested leave behind. Having the fungus grow into the environment so quickly from a human corpse was unsettling. I see that shit I know some of those fuckers are around.

So I bought TLoU the day it came out. The game was kinda glitchy but I beat it that weekend. When I tried to go back for New Game+ the game keeps getting stuck at the part where Joel and his brother are in the truck during the prologue (they don’t even leave the drive way). Well I take the game back because I figure I have a defected disc and get another one. And the game is stuck on the same spot. I am soooo salty because that means my system may be taking a turn for the worst. The funny thing is that this is the only game that craps out on me.

Do you all have any suggestions?

Try cleaning your system. Perhaps its either dirty or the thermal compound needs replacing. What type of PS3 do you have? (As in which model version)

I cleaned my system as well as did disc defrag, but it seems to do this every time I put this game in. I have a 320gb slim ps3 that I bought in October of 2010. The thing is that this is the only game that messes up. Everything else works fine. I thought about buying it digitally, but I’d hate for it to happen again.

Hmm, strange… I’ve never had a single problem with this game at all (except Call of Duty lol). I think it might be the system acting up on you. I’ll have to look around and see what I can dig up about your problem.

Also, try posting your situation onto the Playstation thread and see if anyone there has some insight on helping you out.

Until then, I’ll be looking around.

Thanks man. I posted in the Playstation thread a few times and they kind of got sidetracked, lol.

It’s not just you people had game locks all around. You may have do delete your game data and try again. Assuming you had the same problem I did.

HmmmmInever tried that. I will try that in a bit then. Thanks.

Those were some solid top 10 picks, though there’s too many moments to choose from for a top 10 list.

It does make me wonder, what ever happened to Ish and his small band of survivors?
