OK so, I’m at the Sniper Part and man he’s annoying as fuck he hits you from like everywhere. I’m so glad I maxed out my health with all the Supplements I found.

So I just started Survivor (at least I thought I did) and the segment in the QZ where you are looking for Robert I have listen mode. Do you have it for this segment until you actually meet Marlene or something?

Yea I used Smoke bombs, dont know if they helped but basically i threw a smoke bomb and would run and stay behind the cars etc until I could get to the side of the house

Man, in the MP I love the vicious exhale of breath the characters make when you kill someone with a modded weapon. That sound is savage.

Game is a bit glitchy, some times it happens to show me units behind objects as if listen mode is on, but briefly. Is this what you might be experiencing, or do you actually have it by pressing R2? You could also check your options whether it allows you to turn on/off listen mode. If you can then your not playing survivor.

I could activate with R2, but it doesn’t matter I just started over.

Multiplayer seems incredibly one sided if a team sticks together and has at least one person with the medic level 2 skill. The system of ‘Down’ and ‘Execution’ really allows for this to happen as well.

I’ve been on teams where we stick together, fortify a location, plant nail bomb traps at our rear, and have our team composition as rear guard, medic, sniper, and support. Our teams lives never reach 10 because the opposing teams have an incredibly hard time breaking open this shell. If someone gets ‘downed’, the medic revives and patches them up for FREE. Healing gives out the most parts as well, so a medic can buy both levels of armor with maybe 2-3 heals. This causes a snowball effect as it increase the longevity of the team exponentially. They end up with excess parts that they can buy weapon upgrades/ammo early game and provide covering fire to either rear guard or the front.

Of course, I think this snowball effect only happens if the opposing team doesn’t work together. I’d actually like to see what would happen if both teams actually got their shit together and coordinated.

My Survivor mode update. Some advise on parts I have trouble with.

Hotel Basement

  • You will notice runners just running around, they wont come after you until you get close to the generator. So dont go to the generator yet! Head upstairs instead. First find the card key to open the locked door, then head over to the locked door and hit triangle, Joel will say it’s locked. This is critical, Ill explain why in a few seconds. Now memorize the route to this door and back to the generator downstairs. As you get close to the generator, a few runners will approach you. Kill them which ever way you can, i didnt use any ammo. Then start the generator, and proceed to run for your life to the locked door that you memorize. If you’re lucky, the way to the door should be clear of all infected. When you reach the door you dont have to make the mandatory interaction with the door because u already did that, saving valuable time, and just hit triangle against the card key slot to exit this section. I was unfortunate to have the bloater spawn next to the hall leading to the door and I couldnt run around it. Dying before reaching the door sucks because the infected location have reset and there are about 3-4 infected upstairs, making the run to the exit that much harder.

Fire fight immediately exiting the hotel (Ellie is your sniper)

  • I made my way to the right side, killing the hunter in the first building to the right. Went upstair, killed the guy there and sniped the sniper outside through the left window. I camped here killing as much people I could. If two or more hunters came up the stairs i exited from the back into the alley and pretty much improvised from there, picking off hunters one by one. Bow is pretty good here.

Sewer alone with Sam

  • This part is a bitch. JUST RUN! There is about 3 clickers and 3-4 runners. I had my shotty out just to clear the path to back end where the ladder is to exit this area. Died away too many time finding the right path. [/details]

Yeah that’s just an effect of having a much better team than your opponent’s. There’s plenty of tools to clear an area or at least force the team to move with proper team effort. Also you have to note that if you hold down a spot for a lengthy period of time, the opposing team is free to go around the map, collect the toolboxes and craft a lot of weapons while your team is limited to what you have already.

^this also molotovs and grenades and mine grenades help dealing w/ guys that stick too close together as well as smoke grenades can help cause confusion or scatter some people about.
