I don’t remember who proposed the idea but the idea that TLOU 2 should have been the third in the trilogy and TLOU 2 being a game about Abby leading to the events of 3 which are the current 2 would have worked well to establish Abby. Kind if makes sense to me.

TLOU2 has brought out the worst aspects of tribalism and toxicity in gaming culture. Not surprised to see it in this thread too.
Anyways, finished the game last night. Thought it was very good overall, although I think I like the first game better. Gameplay was great, story was great. Looking forward to playing it again in the future and hopefully pick up things I missed before.

I somehow missed out on (or just forgot about) that chat a little back about whether it was right for Joel to free Ellie at the end of TLOU1. One thing missing from all that talk is how the Fireflies are basically “good guy” terrorists. Even if their wack-a-doo plot for a cure worked, I wouldn’t trust them to spread the cure and get it to those who need it somehow. They’d make some kind of power play with it to position themselves as leaders of their region (or even the state). There would probably be a full blown war for the cure.
Strange Joel didn’t mention the other dead immune to Ellie though.
Not really. Given how poor the writing was I’m not surprised.
