No, it happened, and it really was by accident. I was going for lp srk->fadc and I messed up the srk input and out popped the cr.lp-fadc (I have no reason to BS)…
but in regards to the effectiveness, I look at it as just another tool that you could use if the circumstances presented themselves,… I do find myself trying to back sagat into a corner so I can pull it off just ONCE in a match
I’ll try to verify this, since my experience with the 3S version makes this combo no technical problem, if this is true I should be able to replicate it.
EDIT: Sorry Mojo, He’s totally telling the truth.
Although strict timing is required, I was able to use this technique to cross up Viper anywhere mid screen with the following combos:
a) cr jab, cr jab, lk tatsu, cr jab xx FADC
b) cross up jump mk, cr jab, lk tatsu, cr jab xx FADC
c) cross up jump lk, cr jab, lk tatsu, cr jab xx FADC
Other combo’s obviously work and I would like to look into cross up dive kicks out of vortex setup’s into cr jab as well, but right now I’m gonna check out the other skinny characters to see if we missed this on anyone else.
K Guys, the mid screen version of this I can now confirm for both Viper and Akuma both with the same combos listed below. Please if you think this is bullshit try it on Akuma first it’s a lot more lenient. Again same combo’s apply:
Kuroda Cross-up Now confirmed anywhere onscreen on following characters:
Akuma (easy)
Claw (easy)
Viper (hard)
The rest seem to be corner specific.
These combo’s are the most practical ones that I have currently confirmed this with:
a) cr jab, cr jab, lk tatsu, cr jab xx FADC
b) cross up jump mk, cr jab, lk tatsu, cr jab xx FADC
c) cross up jump lk, cr jab, lk tatsu, cr jab xx FADC
