I think I fell victim to the “Kula, Gato, someone else” trap. I thought I’d mess around with Kula in training mode and she is retarted.:wasted: I swear I can do jump in c, eat a sandwich, standing c and it will still combo. Broke-ass.
you dont even have to do that, just pick Kula, put the controller down and go eat a sandwich. you’ll still win.

yea, from what i hear Kim is pretty fucking solid in XI. I remember in one of these KoFXI threads that a Kula Gato Kim is potentially better than a Kula Gato Oswald team.
and yea, Kim is definetly A-tier. Though i have seen him placed on the same tier as Oswald.

I based that statement off of playing him in training mode, but what can he do/what am I not seeing?
Great pokes (far A, far C), great jump attacks (jA, jC, jD, jE), decent combos (whatever to QCB+P > uf+K > d+K for pretty good no-meter damage, pretty easy to combo supers), some pretty good ultimate juggles (ff+A and LDM), divekicks, flashkick, OTG stomps off of some things, autocombo super sets up QS pretty well…
and so on and so forth
Not quite his ridiculous NGBC self (throw -> stomp for ~25% damage lol) but he’s got plenty of good normals and simple combos for decent damage.
In any case, training mode is hardly an indication of how good a character is. Eiji hardly looks like anything special in training mode (2-3 hit combos omg), but he’s pretty much #4 in the game.
He’s right…they pretty much just toned him down from NGBC and thus he retains some of his stuff but not all and he is still A Tier.
does anybody have match videos involving terry? i havent been able to find one in the threads. i’m hoping to try using an oswald, K, terry team.

I think I’m coming down with the KGO syndrome myself. Kula fights so much like K’ and she’s too damn easy to use. Hell, I might just replace K’ with her. I already use EX Kyo/Ash/K’(L) as a casual team.
Well, messed a bit with resets on Duo Lon’s LDM and have to say they’re not worth it. The damage scaling isn’t as bad in this game and the difference in a reset is a small little chunk of health. That little chunk can be taken off with a special in combo or a simple poke.:lol: I have gotten better doing it out of a quick shift, though, and made another corner variation which is easier (for me) and does virtually the same damage as the C->qcf+a->f+b->qcf+b repeat one. I’m alright at doing that one but sometimes if you happen to hold forward too long the db+b comes out.
I think someone has asked for this too but can’t find a Terry primer.
Theres no Terry Primer really but if you use the NGBC one it pretty much is the same…

Yea, seen a couple myself. Guess from there I can just wing it since I’ve been doing a pretty good job (IMO) so far. 
This game isn’t as difficult as some others are and I like that it’s the fastest game I’ve played so far.
My problem with the game is that it’s really hard for me to NOT pick Kula, Gato or Oswald. Kula and Oswald are like MVC1 Strider to me. They’re just so good you can’t help but use them.
I’ve like Ralf before but I never really saw what makes him in the A tier in XI. His Cs are still godly though. Is there something I’m missing?
My KoF skills are second to only darkgeese cause I cant hit 100 hit combos like him. One day though I will.
Still has great pokes and a good command grab, and now he has a poke (c.C) that leads to ~25-30% damage (c.C XX DP+C, OTG jQCF+C). Nothing flashy, he just gets the job done better than most characters in the game.
