God damn it for some reason I can’t get this ace combo down. I keep getting only 10 hits. It’s the one where im near the corner and im doing DF+A, QCF B, QCF A, QCF B and then Ace. But it doesn’t become black screen D=

Hey guys, something “new” here, did you know that theres a setpup for Duolons LDM which is unblockable? and no, im not refering to duos command grab into LDM or Loris command grab into Duo which I listed a few pages ago. Im talking about my man Ryo, though this is difficult to set up, is somewhat useful and can be frightening once the opp has fallen once into this.

Basically, try to kill and opp with ryo and go to the place you think the opp will land (works wonderfully in the corner) and do Ryos hcb, fwd + D (not the B version, the D one). As you should know the D version takes more time to come out but ALWAYS causes guard crush on block, which you can follow with QS into Duo and LDM. But what if the opp does not block? ITS EVEN BETTER because that mov causes quite a long hit stun and you can QS anyway.

So try to test it if you can, you might get surprised

I believe your timing is off. I know that combo and it’s a bit annoying to get the timing down. Video reference:[media=youtube]O4HQnR5IRg8[/media]
The combo you’re looking for is @1:00 on Tizoc Hopefully that can help.

timing might not be your problem, its more likely your position. you have to be a bit out of the corner when you start the combo.

BTW thanks for the help, especially rogueyoshi. I changed my distance a bit and now the Ace combo works. I think I was to close to the guy.

And yeah I’ve been to the wiki many times. But I’m not sure which of those combos are ones to start with =P.

Hey is Kasume really as bad as the tier list portrays her as? I loved playing her in SvC chaos but i looked at the tier list and was saddened by the fact that she is almost as bad as athena D:

i just got KoF XI for ps2 about two weeks ago, I like kensou but they nerfed his forward light punch in this game. he is my favorite character along with heidern since 98’ but they took heidern out so i still have two empty slots to fill…and what makes kula so good? she always seemed mediocore to me. same with K’ but apparently Kula is #2

*i really like Eiji, do they synergize well together? and who would be recommended for a third char?

sorry but i suck at this game so far, so i need some advice

Kasumi can be vicious if played correctly.

Kula and K’ are both good chars, and work together well with almost any char.
Same goes for Eiji.

Suggestions:
Kasumi/Eiji/Kula (L)
Kasumi/K’/Kula (L)
Eiji/K’/Kula (L)

Kula is good, and is highly recommended to be the leader.
If I were to suggest other chars I’d say: Duck, Malin, Maxima, Kyo.

K’ is also good fun as a leader (in fact I’d say he’s better at leader than kula)

kula just has tons of good and easy BnBs
she can tack her DP+C after stuff she shouldn’t and has a DM that does LDM damage.

Got a question bout Gato. How do you do that juggle with QCB B +B (the air kick). Do you have to set it up with a QS?
