I would be one of those examples, but I’m not like some people who use it to play the game and whine about losing because fierce comes out in 6 frames and the other guy used his roundhouse that comes out in 7 frames. This is a perfect example of how NOT to use frames in your gameplay. The way I use it and how other people do/should use it is to know what is abusable to spam and what is perfect to use in a quick punishment situation.
Yea, but I think for the most part people find out about frames by trial and error. At least that’s how I’ve learned. Try one move and if that doesn’t work try another. The frame data makes knowing what beats what a little faster since you don’t have to try everything.

Well, since we’re talking about the Conqueror’s Guide, there is no frame data in there. Just damage/stun values and the like.

Kyo: close C, qcf+ d, d, as soon as you recover, qcf+A, qcb + D QS to Shen, and LDM
pretty easy and the LDM doesnt knock down because kyos qcb +D follow-up makes the opp go very very high so the LDM will hit the opp while its still falling
definitly, you can train a chicken to learn combos but all is useless when you’ve never done them against someone who fights back and can do the same thing. experience is the number 1 top thing to have when it comes to fighting games.

So, as we all know (or we should) shens LDM is a power up, but unlike other power us like Gai?s Kodoku no ring, this one inflics heavy damage because the explotion at the beginning can hit for about 50% life or 80% on counter hit But that?s not all, he also gets a power up in wich every attack or throw he does inflict a more damage than usual (which is a lot anyway).
The problem is the following: If Shen supers or dream cancels his LDM, the explotion wont hit (but you will still get the power up) But as we want to do as much damage as possible with shen, there are a few tricks to land it without losing the damage of the explotion.
First of all, I guess people who are new to this game doesn?t know hot to activate this LDM fast enough, since its C,A,B,C. But theres a shortcut to do it, which is: hold A, and B, and tap C 2 times, the LDM should come out inmediatly.
Now, if you were able to pull it, you noticed that it takes a lot to actually activate (a whole second to be precise), so how to combo it?
There are certains quick shift setups to combo this, this are the one known to mankind: (all these combos are corner only, also have in mind that when you QS to shen, you must have the 2 bars since shen wont be doing any combo when he enters)
Kyo:
Close C, qcf + D, D, qcf + A, qcb + D, QS to Shen and LDM
This one its very good since you can hyper hop C or D, or you can do crouching b, close C and continue from there, if we add that to kyo?s already good mixup game we got a pretty nice combination
Elizabeth:
Close C (2 hits), fwd + B, fwd + A, DP + A, QS to Shen and LDM
This one its pretty easy too, you could skip the fwd + A if you think the DP + A is not gonna hit?also you get a pretty good stun out of this combo
Ralf:
Close C or crouching C, DP + C, QS to Shen and LDM
This one is very damaging and easy to pull, also you could do a DP + C, after you kill someone in the corner, so that when the other character enters gets hit byt the unblockable DP + C and you could QS to Shen and do his ldm
Shingo:
After qcf x 2 + P, Qs to shen and LDM
Benimaru:
Gen’ei Hurricane (qcb x2 + K) QS to Shen on the last hit and LDM.
pretty easy since the gen’ei hurricane can be comboed easily
Shen woo:
Yes! He can combo into his own LDM.
Qcf + C (hold until the attack starts) and then LDM.
Looks simple right? Well, the problem here is that the opp Hill not wait for you to complete the charge and also it wont get hit by it so easily (the punch if whole charged becomes unblockable). So when to do it? When the opponent is dizzy (luckly shen woo is a good stunner) or when you kill a character in the corner and then start charging the punch (same as ralf?s DP + C)
Other stuffs:
Select your team members wisely, remember that shen always must have bars in order to be really scary, i`d recommend to have a good battery character (like Kula, Eiji or Gato) or a good character that doesn?t need bars to do damage (Gai, Maxima), and then one of the list I put to pull the ldm easily.
Make sure that when shen enters to the battle, he has 2 or more bars?why is this? Because even if you are not able to land his LDM, you could still be able to win, since Shen`s Tatsu! Geki ken (qcf x 2 + P) is a fantastic anti air (the C version has upper body invincibility) also you can use it to pass through fireballs (again C version) or through ground projectiles (A version has lower body invulnerability). His other super qcf x 2 + K, does a bit more damage than his punch super afer a command grab (hcb f + P) and the super itself also combos after a crouching A.

For kyo: qcf+A, qcb+D … what is that ? or are u talking about ex kyo ?
For Ralf: U cant hit the opponent after a dp+p lunch attach, or is shen’s start LDM an anywhere juggle like gatos qcfx2+k ?
For Malin: Maybe u can do the same with Kensou’s super launcher ( QS on the first hit of the second rush of the DM ) … or maybe with Kulas simple qcb+b, f+D ( not probable ).
remember hcb+D in 2k/2k1/2k2? thats one of normal kyo’s new followups for qcf+A.
For Ralf and Elizabeth, the Explosion part hits OTG. Thats they only way to get the explosion to combo

if its an OTG then thats awesome news for me. Plus with kyo I didnt know that u could do hcb+k, after the first qcf+A ( I knew that u could do it after the second one ).

ok, i editted somethings on the Shen LDM mini guide, like leaving out malin since I remember that I did it long time ago but now i realised that you can roll after that DM, so it doesnt count…BUT I added a way to combo it with the help of shingo.
Ill test more stuffs and ill put it here.
EDIT: The reason I dont add set ups in which your opponent could roll, is because even if they are lauched too high and they are not able to roll due to the fact that they cant see their character, theres always a posibility that they could in fact safe fall that shit, so, if you know your opponents and know that they wont roll, go for it. But as we want to do good and sure damage, i`d stick with the safe setups up there.

well, you can combo Hercules throw off a std. A std.B, close C, and Close D…maybe crouching A too.
His C Justice Hurricane can be comboed off a close C and i think D. and the A version can be comboed off std A.
If you want to know about his DMs…well, his Big fall griffon Dm and LDM versions can be comboed off a Close C and D.
a good setup for his dp + A grab, is his standing B, since it hits low and the opp must react very fast in order to avoid it…don get predictable tough
tick throw with standing and crouching A and B, and mix your throw attemps with the A version of poseidon wave and the B version of Olimpus over.
