Yea, too each his own regarding the gates. For me, on a square, half circle motions are a lot easier than on the octagonal. But, on the square it’s a bit harder to pull of say something like Kyo’s fire special (qcb,hcf-P). Also, I have a really hard time doing Duo Lon’s combos on it since I’m not 100% sure of where the directions are on a square. To some people if you’re playing with characters that don’t necessarily need that then you wouldn’t notice it.
On the jumps, it should be able to go to neutral on it’s own. It’s probably cause your not used to the sanwa yet but, IMO it’s the best stick so far. I can’t really tell you more than keep trying the method I mentioned till you notice that you do it better. Sanwas are a lot more precise than any other stick I’ve used since you’re not fighting the stick to pull stuff off. I used to scrub it up on a Happ a while back but now I can’t EVER go back.
Glad to hear it. I like both those players so lets see if you can’t surprise me with something. I kinda have Oz down aside from his infinite, though.
Ah you probably won’t be too terribly surprised. You’ll have to wait till the FRXI footage I’m planning on taking to be hyped up. There was a lot of stuff missed in the vids as you’ll see, but it was a lot of fun playing.
Everyone who played though has gotten better though so the vids in the future should be a lot more entertaining and creative.
also id like to know, after duo ldm, who is the best char i can qs into, i mean the one who builds more meter with a combo. I know that kula does that really well but…who else?..kensou maybe with his corner combo? and how much damage does Gai with his BnB after a duo ldm qs?
PD: I dont have my ps2 right know to check it…could you check that for me please?
I will do it when I get home…I got some nasty stuff cooking and I believe now I’m about 5x better than I was at NEC8 due to some crazy experimenting.
Just to get you prepared for what you will see…
Both of Geese Throws make you wake up backturned…so you can do some nasty crossup Kim like stuff and WORSE since Geese has a roll…including a truly ambiguous crossup where you dont even know what side you are gonna wakeup on until the end…
I will get it ready to put up soon…
Yes Duo Lon has a Karathrow…it makes for a nasty mixup in the corner since that is where it works best…its like Iori’s Mexican Corner Karathrow I dunno if many know about it…
Karathrow Mixup Or Kara Rekkas or Kararekka into LDM mixup is what you are about to see…
Gato builds meter well with a combo as well…really good battery…Malin is good battery too but any real expert will Guard Roll the last hit of Malin’s St.CxF+b qcf+b string…hence you dont see it too much unless you dont have meter.
in the tier list i have he’s B tier along with Mai and Tung, and the rest of the ngbc/midboss char’s as well. I can copy, paste it if anyone would like to see where exactly they are. (got it off the orochinagi forums)
Well I believe it…I remember a long time ago he was C…but not after the shit I just found…hes B for sure…too many chances to land nasty damage of a throw in general…
Nope…thats not it…cr. a is a high…so thats not it… I can block Cr. A either High or low… Meaning Duo Lon technically doesnt have any ways to get into the LDM off a low…but I finally found out how… Its rather tricky too…something I came up with on my own
I can combo into full palm series off cr.b to cr. a to rekka palm activation etc…
See for yourself…try comboing cr.b, cr.a to qcf+a, f+B, hcb+C, you will notice the last palm will miss…
I got a way to make the last palm CONNECT EVERYTIME doesnt matter where on the screen…
You gonna indulge us with a vid of that? Overall, the various ways to activate seem to be a personal preference really. I use the 3 hit, 3 hit/ hyper hop, and the other one that doesn’t use a skill gauge if I don’t have one. I don’t know about Kara in this game mostly cause I don’t look anything up anymore due to non-existent comp. :shake:
