The King Thread

I’m saying from combo throws. Usually for noobs the step in will be 1+2, or they’ll be lazy and use the side-step version which is still 1+2 but is the most obvious throw attempt in the game seeing as how noobs don’t ever cancel it.

Both of those ending throws you mentioned are linked from the 1+2 break combo throw.

I only use CD+2+3 for combo throws, and mixup with CD+1+4.

They probably have the same break, though.

paid 20 bucks for a brand new copy of tekken 6, and I am PSYCHED.

first of all, what are the differences between Armor King and King?
Second, what should I know lol?
Third, do I really need to learn ALL his chain throws, or is it safe to just know a few?

I played the fuck out of King in the Tekken 3 days, but my opponents were…lacking, at my local arcade. So yeah, I dunno much aboot Tekken aside from the fact I played tekken 4 at an arcade once with King and won with just 50 cents, but thats pretty much my experiences in Tekken since them days. But yeah, I DID learn a bit about King from Tekken 3 obviously. Played that shit like it was a 50 cent blowjob machine. Fuck Eddy Gordo.

I did barely lose my first match online, and it was laggy as fuck (or maybe thats just how online is)…been sticking to single player and practice mode since.

feel free to add me on 360, i gots a mic if ur up for beating the hell out of somebody for a bit, or watching back + right kick getting abused worse than M Bison slides

edit:

also, having trouble landing his corner throw (forward, HCF, 1)

ps – sorry if my terminology sucks, i would personally use SF movements, and apparantly people use numbers rather than lp rp lk rk in most forums/threads ive looked at or googled drunkenly.

edit #2: sweet jesus I’m sorry edition:

im having trouble landing the proper throw when i sidestep + RP + RK, which is quite comboable, vs the other stupid backdrop. Help?

how useful is his Stagger Kicks? cuz yeah, I love them. Should I be uppercutting at the end?

I can never decide what to do when i have a wall splat. Humiliate with the wallthrow or just go into a more damaging juggle X_x Should just go for function over form but DAMN the wallthrow is cool

You should do wall-grab only after full combo and b! that leads to wall-splat. Doing wall-grab after clean wall-splat or in a combo without b! sacrifices damage. If you can finish them off with it, cool, but if you tried to style on them and they get up and kill you then you’re going to feel like a jackass.

nigga ur doing it wrong. just learn air combo starters. most useful one for king is hopknee (u/f+4), b+1 on counter hit, and full crouch d/f 2. this game is all about getting that air combos.
