So been watching a lot of matches today, and decided to post some of them up here. I got them from the King Vid thread on TZ. Hope it’s useful to my fellow King users:
For anyone else who plays king, how are you practicing your iSW? I’m not very consistent with it. Some days I hit it very often in the juggle after B! but some days I don’t hit it very much. Though I do see it coming out (which is something for me to be happy about) maybe my timing is just off.
Also, any tips for buffering iSW off other moves? I remember k30 telling me he practiced iSW off of crouching jab in T5. So I tried it tonight, and oddly enough it came out my first try though since then I have not gotten it. I also got it a few time after b+1 which was cool, but definitely not consistent enough to bust out yet. So any tips would be awesome
For juggles, the trick that works for me is to hit the first f right as their back hits the ground, and then quickly put in the rest the split second kings foot starts to move.
iSW = Instant Shining Wizard. It’s King’s running throw it’s normally WR2+4, BUT if you do it right after a B! or buffer the inputs during other moves, you can get the move to come out at point blank range. Really useful and comes out really quick, it boils down to f,f,F+2+4
Does anyone know how you can get the Mummy face Item? I was just customizing my king when I noticed it wasn’t purchasable. Is it a SC item now or just omitted from the game?
When you see King duck down and try to grab you, I suggest you hit 1+2 but if you get caught, it’s either mash on 2 or mash on 1. Pick one and guess. Otherwise, go to TZ and memorize the chain throw breaks.
well I guess I’m just gonna have to eat them online, cause i was raging so hard when this guy kept catching me with it, every single time, couldn’t break a thing. but it’s online so I guess I can’t complain…
King can go with a 1, 2, or 1+2 break for the initial throws. Most noobs stick to the 1+2, but I’m notorious for going for the 2 break into the double arm extension or reverse DDT because anyone worth their salt is going to be trying to mash the RDC break 9 out of 10 times.
This is from T5.0, but still useful.
Kings WD is pretty important when it comes to advanced King.
It scares the fuck outta people once you learn to be in control when doing it.
