Yes “Sousai”/Clash/Deadlock has been removed from XIII. As has :l: + :snkc::snkd:, critical counters, and charging your :snkc::snkd:. Throws are also back to normals, for those keeping score at home
Thanks for the info. Those were all stupid anyway. I’ve always thought the Deadlock thing was sort of funny. It’s like, “Yo WTF is this?! I can just punch fireballs?! What a joke!”
Could you still combo into C + D and cancel it into another Special Move / Super Desperation like you could in KOF XII though? I’ve always used it for punishments in that game.
I’m pretty new to the KoF scene so I’m not really sure how to explain it, but today at the arcade I saw a Mature do an infinite. 99 hit combo then once they were stunned he would do the infinite again. Next time I go to the arcade I will bring my camcorder and hopefully I can get a video of the the guy doing it. Just depends on whether or not he’s there.

Nope! No using :snkc::snkd: as a command normal anymore. Elisabeth has a new command normal :r: + :snkb: that works kinda it, but she seems to be the only person that has such a “tribute” to that system.
You seem to still be able to cancel whiffed :snkc::snkd:'s into special moves however.
However, it looks like a large amount of characters can now cancel their crouching :snkd: sweep moves into either specials (Robert does alot of “sweep into fireball” stuff in vids, to continue pressure on people who recovery roll), or Command moves (Terry can be seen doing crouching sweep into :df: + :snkc: all throughout the AimTougeki vids.) Hwa Jai has even been show using an EX move to juggle you after a sweep, and Yuri can use her Akuma-like “demon flip” to air-throw a sweep’d opponent. Most games consider the opponent invincible while falling from a sleep, so this is pretty unique.
Yeah, it’s an infinite combo for her, not yet caught on video, though. We’d all be interested in seeing it. It’s a glitch, but we don’t know if SNKP will try to remove it (and other bugs) or not, yet.
Wait, you can get stun/dizzy in KOF13? That is new to me.

For what I understood he said that the guy had 99 hit combo, then the character got stun and started going it again. I imagine it was in training mode, but if the characters get stunned, then that is new to me.

In the videos being provided by Kane317, we can see Robert attempt to combo his hop C into his NEOMAX. Leona could combo her hop A into V-slasher in XII, so I think this all points toward a good chance of j.D being cancellable.
I’m pretty interested in weather Slash Saber (The New DM) has anywhere juggle properties myself. Robert SCing an Anti-air Ryuuga into his Ryuko-Ranbu has made waves… I’d imagine AA Moon Slasher into Slash Saber would be equally deadly.
Duo Lon is pretty much the same only better since you can start his chain combo/rekka off light attacks (as opposed to s.C only in XII). The only noticeable difference is you can pressure with his projectile now and the EX one is fairly decent. Today I landed on the last 2 hits of his EX projectile and I got juggled for the 2nd hit as well.
Yeah dizzying/stuns are around. I was hoping the Mature infinite was taken out/reported erroneously but I guess we have to wait for am USB update.

I’ll write some more later but I have one question for the AI people, since it was your first day how often did you find yourself using EX attacks? do you think you’ll use them more/less in the future?

Personally, I found EX moves very useful, helping me get out of sticking situation. Truth is, the only sure way of getting stocks is being on the offense, and it’s not the easy to sustain a lead playing against Mr. Kof all the time. He on the other hand alway had stock, so he saved it for NeoMax. I preferred EX moves for the most part.
