If they did bring 98 to the states would it be that hard to add online for the ps2?
the japanese release of xi had ps2 netplay through some sort of exclusive matchmaking service, though everyone knows why they wouldn’t bother taking this feature stateside on the ps2 of all systems
any new news on this thing?
I wish they’d PC port UM and put netplay on it that way.
I’m curious as to how the EX’s will change things around, and if Kasumi will end up with a 2nd DM or not…
Was King good in 98? Since K’ is out(obviously) and I don’t play Terry anymore, I have to build another team. So far Kyo/Robert/???

I’d the the absolute cheap bastard that goes with Goenitz/Orochi (if it’s everyone, he’s in)/?Rugal (though I might swap out Rugal for O.Yashiro… dude’s just too good).
She’s kinda lost in the mid-tier shuffle. She has some pretty nice tools but can grow old (i.e. predictable) pretty quick.
It figures this game would come out like 5 days after I have to leave the states. This sucks. 
Oh well, at least I’ll have another game to look forward to playing when I come back home mid-08’
So does SNKP usually release their games on time in Japan?

King’s biggest problem in 98 is a lack of good supers.
She’s great to start a team though and MAX stock breaking raises her B&B’s to very nice levels.
Don’t be shocked if Gaynuts/Orochi end up banned (especially Orochi). Omega Rugal is already banned for tourney play.

No. O. Rugal is not banned. UM is a new game and will be treated as such. No character will be banned right away, until it is shown they need to be.

Well if O.Rugal is unchanged, that is instant ban, since he’s banned in regular 98 for obvious reasons. If he’s changed, then you can try judging.

As for Iori- yeah everyone and his mother uses Iori- which makes him predictable as hell. I really hope they do something to him in 98 which makes people want to play him less. Hopefully he loses his glitchy crap at least.
For them to have been working on this game for more than 2 years, I hope that pretty much every character could be viable, and not ban-able. Even the multiple “EX Chars” that are supposed to be in the mix this time should all be playable, if they were able to balance it all out as much as they possibly could.
Or at least, that’s what I would hope…EX Yamazaki (who’s seemingly based on his much more bad-ass RBFF incarnation) would definitely be one of my dudes, if he was legit.
