Netplay seems to be running smooth for me, but that could just be the placebo effect and a bit of luck.
Anybody know if the lag has 98 one sided issues? Tried asking someone I just finished matches with, but I guess asking someone who lost every time doesn’t illicit a positive reaction. My one game felt flawless on my end, but I wasn’t sure about him.

I’ve had pretty smooth matches as the not-host in NGBC. Guess I’m just lucky. No such luck joining 2002 UM matches, though.
Ya, NGBC is playable online as either host or person joining, just much smoother for the host, making things a little lopsided. Still fun and worthwhile to play online, though. Still ages away from HDR or Blazblue,but playable.
KOF2002UM, even after the patch, is still godawful. Better than what we got originally, but still may as well be offline only.
I have to wonder to what effect SNK has damaged their reputation releasing these products with such shit netcode and (speaking of KOF XII) lack of features. KOF XIII may be sent out to die even if it is a complete turn around in quality as a package and netcode, simply because the association is SNK = horrid netcode at this point.
Fuck, they got rid of Ping display? That’s bullshit. People should then put their Coty, State, Download Speed, Upload Speed, and Connection Type in their XBOX Live profiles.
Download speed and upload speed are not factors, and everyone is playing on broadband on XBL unless they’re connection sharing with a PC (which nobody would actually do for 56k).
You’re right, still sucks that it was changed from a numerical ping display to bars. That really upsets me.
