He’s no Bonchan but he’s pretty good. Not sure why he uses jumping medium kick but his blockstrings and close pressure are quite neat and he has good hit confirms and good match up knowledge. BP doesn’t mean jack anyway. It’s not like having 16000BP should instantly make you the second best sagat in the world.
That Sagat is not bad. He knew the Bison matchup a bit: punished ex psycho crusher with kara dp, and after every blocked headstomp he’d throw out a st.mp in case Bison goes for a followup, although seeing as how that Bison never went for the followup he could have f.hk after blocking headstomp but maybe he didn’t know about that.
I don’t know why so many Sagats still use kara f.lk tiger knee to close in on the opponent after a throw instead of using f.hk to kara. The latter option allows more time to setup wakeup pressure while doing the former gets you less time before the opponent gets up and puts you more at risk of getting stuffed out of pressure attempt.
Probably the same reason you see Sagat’s still do jump mp like it’s vanilla(lol).
That Sagat player seemed fine. Bison is a pain in the ass to fight with Sagat because his normals are great and his fadc through fireballs is killer in the match-up.
