The Juri Thread

I played the pre-release build of this last night and Juri was amazing. Here’s what I got from her:

Pinwheel: All versions seemed unsafe on block.
Fireball pushback is nowhere near as much as AE so you can combo low forward after fireball anywhere on the screen.
Fuhaijin zoning is brilliant. You can make it like a platformer for your opponent. I pissed off a Gief player no end last night with them. A load of characters have projectile immune dashes though, especially the Tekken chars.
Divekick hits are really spacing dependent. It was a bit of a treat getting all three hits to connect.
Ex Divekick still wall bounces and you can definitely follow up with pinwheel and fuhaijin. Didn’t get the super art to connect off them but maybe I was missing the timing.

Will be playing the final release code next Thursday so if anyone wants to know anything specific I’ll try and test it out.

Chain combos after fuhajin release are incredible.

Capcom has always been an ass company.

If you don’t mind, I’d like you to test if she can go into Pandora mode after her EX dive kick and if the teammate can follow up after that. I’d also like to know if she has any jump-cancellable normals like how Cammy can jump-cancel her close St.HK now.

Ex dive kick wall bounce should be able to open you up for pandora
I think most of those wall bounce into pandora moments will greatly be dependant on how your tag partners SA’s hit.

As for the fella above you. We had to hit Kaisen as the opponent is passing thru the life bar in SSF4 and from the vids I’ve seen the timing seems to be the same. Wish I could I go test it! lol I’m so jealous of streams going on!!

I’m next playing on the 23rd and I will specifically test the dive kick to pandora thing.

After a deep divekick you can definitely hit fuhajin 1st hit and pinwheel but I don’t think there will be enough time to hit a pandora combo unless, as eluded to above, it’s the Ex Wallbounce version.

I dunno if this was asked yet, but do we have any idea if we can actually decide her EX divekick trajectory this time around?

Yes you can. Dive kick trajectory depends on button pressed but you have to be proper on point to hit all three hits.

Two weeks from today and it’ll just be a few days until we can torment people with Juri Han!

Can the Tekken characters dash through low (LK) fireball?

Can she special cancel far standing normals?

Probably, Kazuya definitely.

I thought you couldn’t wave dash through low projectiles.

The Mishimas seem like they can dash through whatever the hell they want. On the bright side, Law and Paul seem like they’ll have problems getting in on Juri.

I think only low pokes can stop Kaz’s wavedash.

if he can dash through the LK fireballs that’d be fuckin STUPID! game’s a joke anyway so im not expecting much but cmon… theyre not even trying.

Kaz decimates fireball characters, but remember this isn’t SFIV Juri, she can actually be the rushdown beast the Super Beta players from Europe thought she was. CVS2 Sagat wasn’t broken as fuck because of his fireball game…

I will check but I think a couple of the Tekken chars have command dashes which are completely projectile invincible so they blow straight through the low fireball. I’ll check that next week though.
