I noticed her Dive kick starts as low as her ex dive kick in AE.
When she hits with her dive kick, it hits your opponent high enough and half a year to hit confirm into a super. Also if she hits her opponent with her store, she can combo it into a cross rush.
I bet you can store > super/cross art.

This game takes away from the dumb bs of sf4. Not a lot of resets so guaranteed damage is important. Since there are juggles and tech rolls no matter what make sure it’s the max damage output. This game seems like a linear game in the sense of like… I hit a poke, let me use this as it’s gonna do max damage everytime. Not…“I’m gonna use this for the possible reset or setup”.
I say this because what’s the point of a loop if something else earns more damage? Meter? Fireball stores? Better have a good reason.
I’m still not really content with tech rolls, but I’ll admit the knockdown element of the game felt too mechanized in SF4 (whiff a normal and you get a frame-specific setup.) But there could still be positional advantages in this game, it’s not as if they escape automatically.
And yeah, meter seems to be very important. Each bar is more meaningful so going for a max damage meter combo might hurt you later. Or you might want to keep a specific character in (or avoid switching to restore gray life.)
Edit: based on cross assault stream, looks like crouch fierce naturally juggles jumping opponents now, not just as a counterhit or when they’re juggled already.
Yeah I don’t know what’s going to be the best way to spend meter yet.
Considering how Juri has crap EX reversals I would probably try and always keep 1 bar for alpha counters to keep people off me.
EX pinwheel into switch seems like a poor use of meter to me. That’s like 2 bars for maybe 100 extra damage when Super/Cross-Art would probably do much more and possibly give you position advantage. I dunno, I’ll have to test things out to compare damage difference.
In AE I usually just sit on full super and try to fish for it. I rarely use meter on anything else except the occasionally desperate EX pinwheel or EX counter when I’m down. In this game I think I’ll have to adjust and change the way I perceive meter. Even though meter is important in SFxTekken, it won’t be as uncommon as in AE. And I suspect Juri will build meter even faster in this game. So even if I spend 1-2 bars, I’ll still be 1 bar away from super at all times.
So in a way I think we almost should take meter for granted because it kinda is.
I’ve been watching a lot of cross-assault and it really angers me when I see someone just sit there with full meter. The worst part is when they lose the round without even trying to spend meter or tag. It’s like they’re playing this game with SF4 mentality.
They are. Valle and Renic seem to be the only people who know what’s going on with this game.
Tag combos are not universally your best option. Burn that meter, remove the openings for someone to tag, and rape face.

High mid tier imo.
Juri’s meter build was pretty quick in SSF4, but SFxT with only 3 bars meter, there must be ways to get her full charged pinwheel super to be used!
So far from what I’ve seen, Steve and Law are good for that. They both have long duration EX moves that allow to fully charge Super. I wonder who else could be used for that…
Ryu’s EX Shoryuken, Rolento’s EX Patriot Circle, Ling has a move with a really long duration but it might be a rekka. I think those mioght work off the top of my head. Maybe even Ken’s HK tatsu if you want to use Juri’s EX charge instead of a regular one.
Well don’t count out EX Pinwheel yet. It may not be the best, but it still works as a reversal, and you CAN combo off of it. Depending on how much she can combo off of it, it may still be really useful.
Also, does anyone know if she can jump cancel a cr.HP if she chains into it?
