Anyone else notice that EX Pinwheel only does 80 (12x5, 20) points of damage? That’s lower than her LK Pinwheel (100)
Actually, he did it from really far away so a lot of it whiffed it seems. It didn’t even knock down, so I’m sure it still does a lot of damage.
Also, while on EX Pinwheel, Juri could get an easy 300+ damage in FSE with one meter via ex pinwheel, so I’m wondering if she can still do that since you CAN cancel chains into EX. I’d imagine she can’t cancel cl.HK (sadly), but hopefully there will be alternatives like doing cr.MK, cr. MP, cl.HP, cr.MP, EX Pinwheel.
In the FingerCramp video, Juri misses the last hit of EX Pinwheel the first time it’s used and it does 60 (12x5) damage. The second time is when it’s cancelled into from cr.MK and overall it does 140. cr.MK does 60 so yeah, EX Pinwheel is 80. Thankfully, there are a lot of new things she can do that should be able to make up for that.
I still doubt that could be the real damage, especially since so many other characters gain more damage along with invincibility frames on EX moves like say, EX SRK. Wouldn’t make sense to randomly decrease the damage. I’ll try to look at the damage of it in other videos tomorrow.
This was also visible in an earlier video that showed damage values.
My assumption is that EX SRK has more damage because it’s hard to combo from, whereas EX pinwheel is probably easier to combo from than the regular version.
and here I thought I was crazy when I said her EX pinwheel was doing awful damage. Pffft, I sure showed myself.
Could you link the other video? I just find this hard to believe that they’d randomly make it do such low damage, even if you can combo in and out of it.
On that note, I wonder how much damage Ibuki’s EX DP does now. It’s back to how it was back in SF3 where it doesn’t knockdown and gives you a ton of time to combo after it.
Edit: If Zuji could also be a confirmation of this, then fuck. I’m gonna hold on to hope like I did when I thought Megaman would be in MvC3. And if it does do crap damage…well, fuck it. I’m gonna find alternatives no matter what.
It has invincibility and it leads to easier combos. It makes sense to make it do less damage.
cs.hk is 2 hits. Only the second hit isn’t cancelable. At least in AE Juri can cancel the first hit even outside of FSE.
But it doesn’t matter either way because you would just need to end your string with cr.mp/cr.mk > far st.roundhouse and you would still be able to combo in EX pinwheel.
I wonder if she still has all her godlike resets.
Probably not. Things juggle not reset.
She has a bit of her resets with normals that don’t cancel but you would rather go into a cross rush than reset.
So dive kick > far mk is a reset? Why wouldn’t it just juggle? You can always do far mk far hk, launch. No?

So Cr.Hp > Jump Cancel into Dive kick, Cr. Mp into Fuhajin store is looking pretty sweet.
I’m sure there are other follow ups (will senpusha juggle?) but she’s got me drooling.

In relation to my previous post of Juri’s Dive Kick
I did catch a video of her Dive Kick (1 hit) followed up by St.Lp, Cr.Mk xx Senpusha
if the jump canceled Cr.Hp into Dive Kick offers enough height to juggle with St.Lp it should roll right into it.
which should net you extra 30 pts of damage for style alone! haha, if only it worked that way.

Hmmmm. Wonder her properties of her dive kick then. Can it be used as a poke? Is it safer than 4? Is it just as quick or worse start up?
How are the follow ups? They all hit? If I can sweep after dive kick then the bounce up should be good enough that all hits work. (something I’ve been asking for).
What’s good also is the rush down style is still there for juri in the corner. Fireball pressure can lead to a lot of damage and an Untechable kd.
Theory: if they don’t tech roll out of the corner, you can normal xx low, hit confirm the hit. If they tried to do something and they get hit, normal xx store, chp jc dive kick xx whatever.
