The Jojo's Bizzare Adventure Thread!

yeah, exactly. if you slide c,b,a, then you have 6 chances to get the 214 attack, and the other 2 button presses will turn into normals. that way you can input the most attacks in the shortest amount of time.

as for the 2A,2A,6C, 214C combo: there’s no real trick to it, just master the timing. Since you can whiff cancel the 6C before it hits, the usual tricks like drumming or wathever don’t really help. I personally do not use negative edge for this specific combo, but i know others do.

update: dio & jotaro framedata can now be found on the hardedge wiki:
http://wiki.hardedge.org/index.php/Dio#Frame_Data
http://wiki.hardedge.org/index.php/Jotaro#Frame_Data
a lot of info is still missing though, as you can see.

i also added some data for vanilla and kak, but only a handful of normals each.

it’s been years since I actually played this game. Last time was at a gas station in Vegas haha

I wish there was Jojo’s at the gas stations in So Cal =[

Do you need to learn all characters in JJBA to know how to fight against them? I don’t have much experience against decent players.

Learn them as in play as them, or just learn the matchup by fighting them a few times?

I don’t think the former is needed. The latter? Some, definitely, but not as bad as some games. As long as you know your own character’s abilities and what is safe and puts them at risk. I feel like, at least for how I play, I try to pay attention to:
-How quickly they can cross full screen (can I use a projectile)
-What is their basic BnB or blockstring like so I can block effectively
-What is their typical tick into throw
-How good are their options to punish me being predictable

But then, I play with a fairly rushdown/berserk style, so…

Obviously there will be exceptions (like learning how ridiculous Kakyoin’s stand-off hitbox is, or Devo’s). Take this with a grain of salt, because I’m terrible!

I’m just asking if that’s one of those games, like SF3 3rd Strike for example. You can’t beat good Urien if you don’t know his setups.

I’d be inclined to say it’s definitely less of that kind of game than SF3.

You’ll always need to learn a little as you go, though - some of my favorite gimmicks only work on new players (or not used to fighting me, anyways) but quickly teach them the value of air teching unpredictably.

You mean your one gimmick in the corner.
Air tech into super…never falling for that shit again.

its all about mashing buttons harder than the last time!

hope to play some ggpo sooooooon

Bwahaha. I’ll have you know I have at least two gimmicks! Soon, I’ll train you to not attack after corner air teching, meaning I’ll just throw you! You can’t attack, so free high/low mixup for me! I AM INVEEEENCEEBUL!

guys check this out, INSANE new bug video, found on nico:

just crazy stuff. from what we could decypher, the guy talks about 3 jojo versions and that he gathered a fair amount of exotic stuff.
the footage looks like its from the dreamcast, so maybe we are talking prototype versions here (that would also include arcade?)

anyway, have fun.

AND SING THE FUCK ALONG!

Wow, that’s a lot of bugs. I like the video production. Nice find.

Mariah should’ve had those as actual moves. :x

During one of Meteor Man’s ranbats, me and Dyne found out that Hol Horse can shoot his F,D,DF+C special on 2nd player Hol Horse in upper corner infinite times on block.

lol good stuff imma have to learn some of this stuff too lol got some ideas

During Jotaro’s tandem, how many ABCxN inputs are recommended?

as many as you can

that was a fun video =D

Should you count A B C in Tandem combo so you could know when to jump later or do you cancel Tandem as soon as you jump in?
