yea, thats pretty easy. you dont need to dash after s.A1 just do C.A1 after. thing is you have to wait till animation is finish to do it . it feel like it wont connect but it will. After you do the c.A1 go straight into tandem attack. If you still have probs tryin doin C.A2 instead.

it will work only if the combo start with stand on.
however it wont work when i start combo from stand off with two A1.
(stand off) C. A1 > C. A1 > (stand on) A1
if i want to combo another C. A1 after the (stand on) A1, it wont connect.
but i have seen it work in combo vid…

I just got “lever cancelling” or “stick cancelling” to work.
U simply dash, tap forward twice, in between button.
however, the timing of input dash is slightly delay after the previous button u press.
how about calling it “dash cancel” ? coz u dash…
Dio as a example:
(stand off) C. A1 > C. A1 > dash > A1
*timing of input dash is right around when u see Dio’s fist in C. A1. look for his wrist band animation frame.
if u successfully input dash, u see Dio will slide forward with a A1.
after all the hard work, u got yourself a 3 hits combo… :lovin:
also, there will be** no distance** between u and opponent.
Many, many normals (possibly all?) are significantly different if done while dashing. The differences are not universal. For instance, Old Joseph’s dashing d.A gains an enormous number of active frames, Hol Horse’s dashing C loses wall bounce property (pops opponent into the air instead), etc.

2 key properties of this game that is overlooked by all faqs are the " dash " and " button delay "…!!!
i will use this Shadow Dio’s combo given by Doctor Who as an example.
C= crouch
C. A1 > A3 > S > dash > C. A1 > A3 > S

well… tap forward twice
its that simple. but when u add it in a combo, u open a whole new world! dash + any attack button will change the property of that attack. u will see your character sorta slide forward with that attack. dash property is different from characters to characters.
i will only talk about Shadow Dio for now. if u dash attack, u will not be connect more button attack. but special and super are still possible.
so for the above combo, u dont want dash + C. A1
u will need to dash > neutral > C. A1
neutral is simply return your direction pad to its neutral position.
u will see your character slide forward. split sec of his standing up animation frame. then the C. A1
its fast that its hard to notice.
button delay:
normal button combo that u can link. instead of pressing your next button right away, u would press it just a tiny bit later. you press your next button at almost the end of current attack animation instead of the beginning.
there are so many of these button delay combos in the game that u would its rediculous… lol…:lovin:
if u know guy’s bushin chain in SFA 3, its that kinda timing.
shadow dio as a example:
u can connect C. A1 to A3 using button delay.
so finally… with all the properties added in
C. A1 > button delay A3 > S > dash > neutral > C. A1 > button delay A3 > S

Watching the game at high levels of play, it looks like the bastard child of Alpha 3 and Vampire Saviour.
That is one ridiculous fucking combo in the second round.
That jojo flash site is the hotness!! im almost done reading all of the jojo series and about to start on that cannon ball racing one. Anyways I got more info for yall masses.
So everybody is aware of the push block. Well unlike the regular block where you cannot be thrown, if they push block they can be thrown. The best use of this is to use some sort of projectile that lets you move during it and then throw if they try to push.
The gaurd cancel attack can be buffered. So you first input the SRK motion, block and immediatly press the attack button. This is most useful when you are waking up.
I didnt know this but you cannot be chipped to death. They made it this way because almost everything chips you massivly in this game.
Another tidbit i didnt know: there are 5 types of jumps in the game. regular jump, super jump, small jump, dashing jump, and the medium jump. Medium jump is done by pressing down for an instant and then pressing up for an instant. The distance covered is that of a normal jump but the height is that of a small jump.
The dashing throw. In the older version you can do a dashing throw by dashing and then those who have one, activate their stand and input the throw at the same time. In the newer version however you cannot throw at the instant you press S so you must wait a tiny bit before trying to throw.
If your health is lower than your opponent’s your attack and defense get slightly powered up. The bigger the difference between the two fighters the more powered up it becomes.
Sometimes when you shooting for glass with regular Hol Horse, Boingo might drop down instead of glass. While Boingo is visible on screen like this, Hol Horse’s throw becomes twice as strong, and cannot be rolled out of.
Here is a chart for the speed at which character’s wake up. Top is the fastest.
A few characters can cancel their normal moves into a roll. The roll must be inputed very quickly.
Kakyouin: During normal mode, Fierce can be cancelled
Joseph: Can cancel a stand combo
Alessi: During normal mode, crouching fierce can be cancelled
New kakyouin: During normal mode, Fierce and dashing fierce can be cancelled
Pet Shop: This one is unique, you can cancel his air roll with a special move. This is mainly because his air roll has very little invisible frames.
Iggy: Performing the up close Fierce button can be cancelled
If you air block a special attack with Jotaro and Alessi you wont lose any life due to chipping but rather it will be taken off of your stand meter.
And finally(if I have space) a chart for damage done by each character’s throw.
1: Characters who deal 17 damage: Jotaro, Polnareff, Avudol, Iggy, Joesph, Chaka, Alessi, Hol Horse, Anubis Polnareff, Mariah, Vanilla Ice, Dio, Shadow Dio, Young Joseph, Hol Horse & Boingo
2: Kakyouin & New Kakyouin: 1damageX8=8 damage
3: Devo: 13
4: Kahn: 1damageX3+9damage=12 damage
5: Pet Shop: 4damageX3=12 damage
6: Midler: 6+6+5=17 damage
7: Rubber Soul: 3damageX8=24 damage
All damage calculated on Jotaro
This is important to note because the damage done is variable on the opponent’s defense. And multi hit throws such as Midler’s get extra deduction since each hit is affected by the defense.

So, does this game have any reversals other than those alpha counters? I’m playing against a human Dio with Black Pol/Kakyoin and he does cr.LAxn on block then does HA(that big overheard-looking punch that launches on normal hit) and I can’t stop him for shit. And I gets worse when he cancels into the mudadah punches.
And his cr.HA is fucking unblockable at sex range?!
