Very solid point, although I just learned about the etiquette so I wouldn’t know what the “rules” are as that follows. Casuals if you run into people who do these kinda things, usually etiquette can go out the window. I just play my 1 tandem limit as a way of training and keeping the skills up (also tandem variety, maybe…). It takes way more skill to pump out a sixty percent damaging combo off one tandem than reusing the same abc loop over and over in a corner till your opponent is dead. Ontop of that, it encourages some tandem variety where simply looping the tandem isn’t going to cut it. Cuz if that wasn’t the case i think everyone (especially me) would stick to the loop abc till death method.
most tandems already take about 50%, hangman loop costs 3 supers. also, hol sucks. its fair imo.

does anybody know where I could get the quotes for each character in English? or does someone know what each character says? I’m really curious as to what some say during the game
A lot of what they say is strait up from the manga.
So, ask some questions and some of us could prolly answer. Or if you actually feel like reading the manga, lol.
Offhand I know some Jojo and Joseph’s quotes. Hamon, Cracker Volley, Overdrive, Hermit Purple. I forget what they say in their supers. Jojo’s roll is “Kocchi Dayo” and Joseph’s is “Kocchi Ja” IIRC, but I forget (don’t have the game open).
Don’t ask me what S.Dio says in his introduction where he points at the screen. In the manga he says “are you watching me again?” but I can’t understand any part of what he says in the game, it sounds like jibberish to me.
R.Soul’s quotes are just his move names (Heado Busa Hakina, etc, it’s in the wiki). Midler doesn’t say much, just High Priestess in horribly broken engrish, and generic things like KuraiNa and BakaMe.
Avdol’s quotes are English iirc. Crossfire, Hurricane Special, etc.
Can someone explain to me exactly what was done with New Kakyoin?
I don’t really know Kakyoin that well, but what’s the difference between them?
i play new kakyoin, but not kakyoin, so i dont really know the differences.
i can say, however, that new kakyoin is no where near as good as kakyoin.
new kakyoin has i-no style dash with stand on, and interesting oki options from qcb tie wrap.
what it comes down to, is kakyoin can kill you in nearly 1 combo (hi-lvl pro combos).
New kakyoin has to work alot harder to do any dmg. His most common bnb, doesnt work on characters that have short crouching animation.
theres alot more stuff thats prolly different too.

I have read the manga. they do say some of the stuff they say in the manga but they say other stuff too
-chaka says “I’ll fucking cut you”(if I remember correctly) whenever he takes his sword out and I think he says “fucking die” whenever he does his super when his sword is out
- hol horse says “Its your turn j.geil” or something like that when he lands the hanged man super, when hol horse hits someone with the hanged man trap and shoots the enemy he says “gotcha”. I think he also says “watch out above” when he shoots the “ceiling”
stuff like that is what I’m interested about, and yeah I been wondering what s.dio says on and the same goes for normal dio.
Another one that I been wondering about is what does black polnarref says each time you pick him? hope someone can fill me up on this stuff

Oh right, I forgot… I actually asked Rithli about this recently. Chaka says Kiri Tari Ne at some point which is like “I need to cut more” iirc. VSav Bishamon and MB:AC Roa say it too. And yeah Hol Horse’s “Abunai” just is like a generic “Watch out!” type statement.
But yeah I don’t know enough Japanese to pick out anything that wasn’t in the manga, sorry.

I’ve been curious about Dio’s (Stand off) and Mariah’s taunts myself, as well if any of Jotaro’s victory poses use the “You pissed me off” line.
Having a FAQ with the game’s quotes would be great but I realize there’s just too many of them.
There usually is a japanese wiki that transcribes the quotes, making translations a lot easier. But uhh… I’m not sure if the jp Jojo wikis have the quotes or not.
FINALLY, with the help of DIOinAkiba, here’s how to combo 5C into itself during Tandem with Jotaro:
- do a stand OFF in the air shortly before you do the tandem.
to give a practical example: jump (with stand ON), switch stand OFF, j.C,/,5A,6B, Tandem: A,B,C-C-C-C-C and so on.
