I noticed some stuff but I’m sure you guys noticed like

-special intros when a certain char fights another certain char

-how the eyebrows or mouth on the player’s portrait starts to twitch when the tandem super screen comes up( aleesy moves his eyes back and forth:rofl: best one imo)

-s.dio doesn’t seem to breaths in or out in his idle pose while normal dio does nor does s.dio moves his hands on idle position.

-etc.

the sprite work in this game is just amazing, you really can tell they took their time when they did this game

God I need to make a full post of everything I’ve found in the game including the extra characters that got scrapped but are still in the game’s coding and the extra zombie survival mode.

The game was originally meant to be so much bigger and include more that just the 3rd Jojo Ark.

The scrapped characters you can glitch to by putting the cruiser on kakoyin I think and pushing right then up in quick succession. If you do it, your cruiser should be in a weird position and an oddly colored picture of star platinum should show up. You can then do random directions to get other odd placeholder sprites. If you select any of them, the game will either display odd, glitchy sprites that can’t do anything in game or just crash outright.

yeah there’s a ton of stuff; i remember gray fly’s sprite is just a patchy hol horse with some jotaro animations haha

Speaking of the sprites, it’s fucking insane how much effort they put into it.

When I was making this Dio Av, I pulled up the gif from somewhere, and this one alone was like 100+ frames.

About those secret characters, there are Death 13 and N’dool. You can fight against Death 13 if you don’t lose in story mode. You can select secret and normal characters if you press Start+A in debug mode while playing against opponent. Start+C to change background. Gamegeezer showed me this glitch.

Much, Much, Much bigger than just 4 charterers.

At least 2 times the amount of characters were thought to be included at one time during development.

Its one of the most unfinished games I’ve ever played.

I don’t think this game is unfinished in the state its in, I would even say its FAR from that

but I tried looking at the unfinished chars and its some weird and creepy shit. its like some said you put the curson on kakoyin and press right,up and then a portrait of vanilla ice with start platinum comes up and then from there you can move the cursor to find other “chars” some just a bunch of crap put togeter, some just don’t show up. its some interesting stuff

Does the game offer any escape to meaty unblockables or are you pretty much always gonna eat them if someone scores a knockdown on you? Faced a few Hol Horse players lately and a couple of them were using meaty “bullet time” supers.
Judging by the earlier discussion with the Mariah outlet example I’m guessing they’re inescapable, but thought I should ask anyway.

Pretty much, I think D’bo/Devo is the only one who can have any hope of escaping/getting out of the usual setup for that unblockable.

If they get the knockdown then you’re pretty much screwed, yeah. The typical way of avoiding knockdown is having your stand active so that sweep moves won’t actually sweep you (c.A3 sweeps will launch you if your stand is active). Which isn’t possible if your character happens to not have that type of stand.

Also, while there is 3 frames of throw invulnerability on wakeup or off blockstun, there is zero frames of throw invulnerability when leaving hitstun, which makes old Joseph’s throw trap combo enders inescapable as well.

ive actuallyl tested the bullet time setup on dbo in actual matches and ive managed to escape it successfully with cr a3

The game was just rushed in the same way that MVC2 was rushed.

MVC2 didn’t have any beta testing and I don’t think this game did either because they wanted to stop developing for the dying CPS3.

Most of the new stuff is what is buggy (new from Jojo’s Venture). Petshop is horribly unbalanced and which game has a bug in the character select that can crash the game?

They did a lot of pre-production work on characters. I don’t speak Japanese so I can’t read it so all I can do is make asumptions till someone proves me right or wrong.

On the 2nd page, it looks like Ndoul has attack frames that were planned out so he could have been much more playable instead of just using the water spirits. Also on that note, if you use cheats on MAME and select Ndoul, he has a character portrait for the VS screen.

I’ll see if I can get a picture of it.

Nope that’s in the game and originally where you fought all the zombies.

^ must have been for the PSX or DC version. I only played the arcade version so far.
