So I was playing the HD port and Mariah’s 214 AA (Car/Uppercut Super) Doesn’t link into itself like in the arcade build. Whats up with that?
They fixed some of the bugs that were banned like Avdul’s Ankh glitch. The banlist also includes Mariah’s super linking into itself.

Hey guys, I wonder if anyone could tell me why fight against Jotaro is so hard (2-8 matchup) for Dio?
I think its so cool that people like my self still plays this gem, here are some matches I thought were cool (360 ver)
They both have a similar fighting style but Dio doesn’t have a decent GC (can be punished on hit), his grab can be punished anywhere so he doesn’t really have a way to punish rolls (like Hol), but the worst part is probably his height while crouching.
He is one of the few characters that can’t avoid Jotaro’s s.5A (one of the fastest normals in the game) even if he is crouching with his Stand Off. This is what probably makes this matchup entirely in Jotaro’s favor. If the Dio player is capable of punishing s.5A consistently I would say the match is only 6-4 in Jotaro’s favor.
I see. I’ve noticed that he can’t avoid some attacks because he doesn’t crouch properly so that makes sense. Thanks for answering.

Four hours of high level Jojo matches at Game Versus from last night. Lots of familiar Jojo players there (Otouto Joseph, DM, BBC)
A lot of Joseph players in the matches. I though this game had a lot of god tier characters?
Does anyone have a write up for how to play Young JoJo? It seems like he has a lot of trouble with zoners and all he can do is jump and block, or gamble a run -> d/f C
I’m tossing between him and Avdol for who to play. Avdol seems better but also harder.
Scroll to the bottom, Fayk did a great write up of some of the more well known matchup experiences he has too. Young Joseph is low tier to a great degree, but he’s got a few abusable gimmicks on some of the cast that you really have to whore to stay competitive/winning (i use this term loosely).
Yeah I know about standcrash but the SRK wiki said Young Joseph was high tier…
Where is the proper tier list then?
I forget where the Japanese one is, but it’s seemingly identical (maybe even the same) as the Hardedge wiki.

Hey guys, please, somebody have any tips on how to connect the 5S after 5C? It is the first combo of this video. In standcrash they give this tip, but still, I cant link the 5S after 5C =\

2A, C, S, dash (then cancel dash) 2A, C, S, 3C
(Note: to link the 5C, you need to be doing non-dashing 2A, not dashing 2A, so do an input to dash then cancel it right before the hit - such as 6,6,4,1A)

Joseph is definitely NOT top tier. The tier list from what i can remember, should look close to this…
GOD/Banned - Petshop
S - Kakyouin
A - Vanilla, Polnareff
B - Active Stand users, Chaka
C - Non active stand users
D - Jojo, Mariah
Spacing really, this shouldn’t be the hardest part of the combo, tbh. I think you may be having an issue with your dash to crouch cancelling. That would be the more difficult part of the combo which could affect the 5C > 5S link.
I posted the most updated tier list in the other Jojo topic. The standcrash/hardedge/SRK wiki tier list are outdated. Y.Joseph is not as low as people think he is but he is still botton tier.
