question about jotaro’s standard combo into tandem combo ish.
after 5a,6b,214b, is it hyper hop c? or just a regular hop c?
If midscreen, hyper hop. Corner, you can regular short hop.
Can we play ggpo or supercade yet geezer?

So…Hol Horse…how can anybody find that gay style fun?
As in you are having problems fighting it or just commenting on how you have a distaste for how he plays? I find his style of play to be interesting in a game dominated by rushdown.

Who do you main? Characters with active stands can negate chip if they have their stands on. You just need to play patient. It’s not hard, especially when you can react to projectiles with a roll. Zoning is not that difficult to overcome in this game.
Jotaro, cant I 214ab thru his shots, or something?
When I do play JJBA, I usually play S. Dio or Abdul. I don’t really know much about Jotaro’s options.
Only in stand mode. Normal mode doesn’t have the same invincibility properties that stand mode orah or 214 super does. If they get ridiculously predictable or only fire bullets the entire game, (start out in normal mode) i tend to dash forward tap S to turn stand mode on and super. This might be tough online though.
EDIT: Even activating tandem can help due to the great amount of invincibility frames.
Hol Horse has to mix up how he zones or he’s dead. The horizontal gunshots leave him very vulnerable on whiff. If those Hol Horse players spam gunfire, roll around the shots. You can even do it from a blocked gunshot. You may have to block another gunshot after that if you don’t want to risk jumping (or are still too far out), but you’ll be that much closer. If you play Jotaro you can even double jump. Hol Horse is good at keeping people out, but it’s not just projectile spam. That’s why he has a run instead of a dash and some trap tricks.
What is midlers gameplan?
I main jotaro too. Thing is you can pin hol horse INCREDIBLY easily once you get a single knockdown. Turn stand mode on and avoid chip for a little while. You have to make your way in slowly cause Hol does have some pretty good normals. One of the main ways I try to make an opening with him is to do Dash C and then you can do a few things from there.
He blocks:
- “link” crouch C and try to sweep him, if the sweep hits, go for your 50/50 that he really cant do anything about on his wake up.

Depending on distance from where you hit him:
- Up close, you can link 6B into your standard bnb
- From far, you can link 2C into a knockdown
This is just a standard starter. Don’t forget while you have stand mode on you also have access to a double jump. One way to cover LOTS of ground is to do a dash jump (or super jump) and then double jump towards him. I wouldn’t use all the time but, it is one way to keep hol on his toes. Also, if you are within range, an occasional 214C is a great way to just threaten while you are out of range. He can shoot star platinum but you can time between shots.
I’ve downloaded the fba emulator so I could use the cheat files for jba but it does not seem to work…I got the cheat file off of standcrash wiki, put it in the cheat folder, started up jba, clicked misc, but the “enable cheats” option is grayed out…any suggestions?
I also put the cheat file for vsav and it worked fine, so I don’t know what the problem is…
