I was thinking about doing character basics videos with anyone who wanted to help but this shitty PC is stopping me :(. I’m gonna be so rusty when I get to finally play the game again in August but I’m pretty hype re-learning the game on stick. If I can play/combo/tandem on a DC pad I’m sure I’ll be able to do it on a stick but anyways I digress. If there’s anything I can do to help just shout.
I hope someone does a great tutorial video or guide for Hol Horse, combos just arent enough, got to learn his fundamentals and stuff
Combos are the last thing you want to think about with Hol. If I can find a cheap enough capture card and stuff for when JoJo’s HD comes out I’ll give it a shot, but as things stand for me atm it’ll be quite tough.

This is a wonderful idea. Especially about match vids & podcasts. It’s been a long time since I last played this game but, with the release coming out to current consoles I’ll do my best to support the game in whatever way I can. I have fond memories playing Jojos because it was the 1st game I ever wanted to play on a competitive level & it was the game where I started learning all the terminology for fighting games.
What would be talked about on the podcasts? I’m not familiar with podcasts in general and it sounds interesting.

If it’s strictly JJBA related you could talk about the manga, obviously. The new game like things you hope for, things you expect and what you don’t want. The anime coming out and the teaser that was just recently released. Stuff like that i suppose. It’s very limited but it would be interesting.

Ninja Edit: For those of you who didn’t see it on GGPO or in Skype chat…i got the Anubis Polnareff Corner Loop
Thats funny, I was just training that combo last night and I wondered why you don’t see more Anubis players using this instead of the dash 5C for a quick knockdown. B.Pol players can even start this loop mid screen, all it takes is a small dash before the jump. The only tough part is the 5A 5A cc 5B link but I believe players can get it down with some practice. I think doing 3 reps is pretty fair.
The link is more difficult than it’s worth online. I’m trying to learn it on a muscle memory basis, but it’s still hard as shit. Haven’t gotten down the midscreen loop version yet, but that’s even more crazy ass difficult @_@

Edit: To expand on what I said initially, I live pretty far away from the Norcal area. I live about 650 miles away in Phoenix. But, I do remember playing before, a couple years ago when your PC could play Jojo’s pretty well on GGPO. I was asking what system you were getting the game for because even though I can’t drive all the way to Norcal, I would still like the chance to play you every once in awhile even if it’s online. I wanted to show you how much my Dio has improved since last time. I can finally do muda bnb on the left side of the screen.
Either way, I hope I can stop buying so much McDonald’s, so I can have enough money to go to Evo next year. Then Jojo’s crew will be able to UNITE!

All this talk made me hungry for offline matches. Just giving the heads up that Super Arcade has JJBA setup in one of the japanese cabs. So, if some of you guys are from SoCal lets try to set up a small gathering during wednesday night fights.
