I just wanted to thank everyone in this thread, after coming across this game, and being a huge JoJo fan, seeing that people were still playing and interested has given me the drive to try and learn this game.
Especially Fayk and the guys who worked on Stand Crash, after reading through the archives of this thread and that wiki gave me a lot of information, so I wouldn’t have to ask any stupid questions.
I’m pretty terrible, but I’m trying to pick up Shadow Dio at the moment, being a scrubby player in general, and really only having experience with SF4, the combos are kind of odd for me, especially cancelling dashes into normals, but I’m finally being able to hit 2a into 5c with good reliability, and actually getting more than one rep of the combo.
I look forward to getting blown up on GGPO sometime soon.
No problem. Several of the main contributors (most of them) are in this thread or at least read it. I think the main contributor who never posts is 192.168.0.1 who I haven’t really seen around in a long time.
As a new player, if there’s anything you learned the hard way that wasn’t on stand crash, please mention it so it can be added. I want it to be useful for new and intermediate players alike
WOW, that’s what i got to say. Yesterday there was a record breaking number of players from the USA in the room for JJBA. Someone counted 22-24 individuals in the room all at one time. Had to stop playing dead island to get in on this event. Not sure if it was a fluke or what have you but it was amazing 
Bought a JoJo BA board on a whim, and I gotta say I’m having a lot of fun reading this thread/watching videos and then running to my cabinet to test it out. Awesome game.

Once I get schoolwork under control, I think I’m gonna start playing this game again on the weekends.
Gotta keep jojos alive! Doing the Jotaro loop is always a problem of mine, but I also have noticed that I am terrible at guard cancels. Should I learn how to GC properly or should I just continue to focus on Jotaros loop?
Also Starfinger mixup is really annoying when you knockdown in stand mode because I keep on messing up the timing to turn off the stand before prepping start finger >.>
Are you on the offense more often or stuck blocking the whole time?
If you’re on the offense stick to the loop.
If you’re blocking practice gc(its just a dragon punch)
It’s very dependent on who I’m fighting and their fighting style. For instance would learning GC be useful against a good hol horse like Dynes who is constantly attack every chance he gets, or would it be more useful to get the loop down so that when I do get in I do a ton of damage? It’s tricky dicky against good players like Dynes Hol Horse and Fayks Y.Joseph @_@
I’m still learning alot of things about this game. I just learned how to tandem install this week lol
I also need to learn Jotaro Stand Crash setups, on hit and on block. And Time Stop setups. And probably some other things q_q
Ah you’re just starting. Work on your execution, also you might want to use Iggy(My main) as a training dummy so you can see which set ups work on him too.
Oh I’m not new (well not as new as I could be @_@). I’ve been playing for about 8 months now, using the name miloyoyo in ggpo. Do you use supercade or GGPO? I think it would be great to play you sometime
