EVO in four(ish) days!
With Evo coming up and everyone scramblin around trying to get there, i’ll be there thursday, what time i’m not sure. Anyone who happens to be in the area for Evo, definitely hit me up. I’ll post my number up for the duration of Evo and remove it shortly. I figure if i gotta drag my entire tower/desktop setup to Evo might as well make the most of it. HIt me at the cell if you plan on playing.
EVO was fun, what else can I say. Some guy (missed his name) told gamegeezer and I that some folks in LV play Jojo’s! Apparently on dreamcast. (f u tandem-having characters)
Hahaha, tandem characters are fun. You should go back and try to learn a few
Great sets though, didn’t get to record the eight hours of straight game time but it was awesome!
Those sets were the best.
Iggy’s worthless tandem.
Random trivia: while playing Nerdjosh in Vampire, I asked him (since he plays so many games) if he ever plays Jojo’s. He said not much in a while, but his mains were Iggy and Alessy.
THE MORE YOU KNOW.
I’m sad to see only 3-4 players in Jojo’s on GGPO at times I want to play Jojo’s.
Yeah, I idle less there these days - I’m in the vampire savior lobby some of the time. I should hang out in the jojos lobby more, really…
i play s.dio and jotaro, but am scrub
I play Hol Horse and Chaca.
if i ever happen to be online, just shoot me a message on AIM. gamegeezer9166
I no play jojo’s no more. Is sadness.
Man I really gotta get back into JoJo’s. I was the scrubby D’Vo and Avdol player who played for awhile back >.>
Suffer.
Cool, I found the Jojo thread. Do people play on Supercade at all?
And how do you punish rolls (A+B+C)? Is the only way to punish is to throw them out of it in the middle of their roll?
correct, being able to throw a roll on reaction pretty important in this game.
Almost none of us play on supercade, and the skill level there is typically lower from everything I’ve seen. The reason I don’t play there much (I suspect this is true for most) is that with any lag, the input delay gets really bad on supercade.
The punish window for rolls might seem really low at first, but it gets better as you get a better sense of when people are likely to roll.
Thanks for the answer. I was thinking it was like a KOF game where there’s a large recovery on the end of the roll to punish but I ended up getting roll -> invincible supered a lot. I’ll get used to it then.
Oh, I also heard about that with Supercade. Thankfully my ggpo is working again
Yeah, no real disadvantage at the end of rolls (except being punished by throw mid-roll) except you can’t immediately throw your opponent after you roll, I believe. No roll up throws.
