actually ive been able to throw in a h then grab if you use the hollagan grab to throw them back up after rapid fire punch
Mission with st.L, st.M, Violent Axe H, Partner-1, cr.M. S, Magic Series Mission? I dont get it. I could do the combo just fine, but the Mission window resets each time I do the combo. I think my problem is I press Partner-1 before I press cr.M because thats the only way to prepare it for the combo. If you press it before hand, Wesker will break the combo because of his active frames before his main attack. How do I do this and get it finished?
I haven’t seen this in any combo video yet, but someone have tried to do a ground combo, then cancel :dp::l: into Hyper Body Slam in order to get the height damage bonus?
Does it work or the startup of the move is too much?
Could be also done with anti-air version for big damage?
Which do much damage between these?
Just tap the buttons in order, in rapid succession. c.M>P1>c.H. Then watch it unfold. Skrull actually gets hit with c.H before P1, but that’s how it’s supposed to work.
I, however, CANNOT GET THE STUPID LAUNCHER OFF. Skrull gets wallbounced, and at the exact time you could launch him, Haggar is in ending lag, standing up from his c.H. Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid. He either cancels into launcher WAY too early, or techs, or stands up, and can’t launch.
EDIT: Did it. Had to study the timing in this video: [media=youtube]WprVTk140ZQ&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL[/media] You hit c.M then P1 REALLY FAST, then wait a little, then do c.H. Then, before he starts standing up, you should be able to nail Skrull with the launcher.
I could whiff a launcher, then do another one and finish the combo, but the stupid mission mode doesn’t let you input extra attacks into the combo string.

does haggar have a really good throw out move like one that will lead to a launch im having a hard time with guys who just spam jab like nobodies buisness all his normals are a little slow…i guess i should get better at reading for pile driver.

Your at +9 advantage if they block, and i f they don’t block you’ve got lots options, but the easiest into launcher is probably Violent Axe(H)> Launcher > Whatever you damn well please since they are your chew toy at this point.
as far as the mission combo goes. do cr.M+P1 then cr.H and the game will register it correctly and the timing is much easier. being able to play carl in BB makes all these assist combos easy to understand.
Lead pipe does rock, but headbutt seems better in some instances. Try throwing it out just as you jump when your opponent is close and if you score a counter attack it’s a free dizzy combo. Hulk’s j.S destroys all but the earliest and furthest distanced air pipe (and just about everything else in the game) and hsien-ko seems like she can just tear haggar apart unless he has an assist to help.

People end up sending me mail saying “OMG I didn’t know he could do those kind of combos” when I OCV them with author and thor as assist.
How are you guys dealing with characters using Advancing Guard on you every time you finally close the distance? I’m finding this frustrating to get around.
Don’t hit them when you know they will block. Instead, go for a command throw.
Good point…I moved away from using pile driver early on because I found it lacking, but in this situation you are right. Speaking of which, when you have an opponent grounded in front of you (like after a pile driver) what are some good wake ups to use against them?
It’s amazing how good the leadpipe is for instant overhead or mid range on the ground. I dunno if anyone has said this, but from mid range, cancel a blocked leadpipe with :dp:+:l: because of the +9frames on block. Since :dp:+:l: has such low recovery, you are right in his face for mixup. I can’t believe how good leadpipe is and it links into an easy 500k dmg combo

Yeah, Hooligan Toss is such an awesome move. Mixing up between L and M version is a great way to fuck with people also, especially now when people are familiar with the characters yet.
So I have come to the conclusion that Haggar just doesn’t need meter.
Most of the time Rapid Fire can actually lead to less damage in a combo because of hitsun and scaling (especially if you mashed too much and got the level 3 version of it), Body Press and Haggar Buster need to be set up right and with X-Factor Haggar gets 100% combos without using meter.
So is it safe to say haggar might actually be a decent wrestler in a VS game? Dude is awesome as fuck if you ask me, doesnt need meter to put out good damage, has some seriously good normals ( pipe ), has one of the best assists and with the right assists doesnt struggle too much to get in.
Its a little early to say, but yeah, so far thats what it looks like.

if your in the corner end any combo with a ground bounce and then heavy violent axe and you get a mixup between SPD and another combo since they can only get up next to you… kind of basic but I was abusing the fuck out of it earlier on dumbasses.
