I don’t like the ponytail too, but it’s Final Fight, so I can’t dislike it much =/
Does that mean you liked Streetwise?
The 2 player arcade mode in Streetwise was actually pretty fun
I enjoyed Streetwise in a “so bad it’s good” fashion. I loved how the story shifted from mediocre hood tale to a B-horror movie in laughably bad fashion.
I hadn’t played Streetwise yet, still wanna play it just for the heck of it. I’m a capcommunist anyways so no matter the Capcom game I’d want to play it at least once.
IMO Hugo would’ve been better but Haggar’s pretty funny so I’m not complaining.
I prefer Haggar, but on that note I wish they would have given him Hugo’s ultra throw, that move is sick.
Don’t do it. I thought the same way, and I regret my decision to play it.
why does larriet have red damage…thats really stupid…it better be the most godly move ever in the game
Probably stupid amounts of priority / invincibility. In Final fight games, it was pretty much invincible. So one can hope that it’s more or less like that. If not then /sadface.
Although it be interesting to see Lariats vs Beam Hypers / Fireballs.
I think the piledriver will have some good use if you can get an otg assist after it. Even without an otg assist, you can still call an assist to pressure the opponent.
Also lol he says “keep it up” when he gets hit. : D
you know after doing the command grab in the air that throws them straight down you could probably she hulk assist tornado to get them off the ground and use the launch grab to start another air combo or body splash
Hold on. You got your opinion but ff3 was a good game and it was a good ff game. Now FF2 was bad.
FF3 was my fave ff game by a country mile, shame he did have a couple of moves from it, not to mention his sad middle aged man ponytail
You can’t really pressure after Piledriver because the opp can just roll forwards or backwards.
However, I keep friggin’ forgetting that you can call assists to OTG for combos. That might be the reason why Piledriver damage is so low.
No one ever addressed this one.
Hugo’s AA ultra throw would’ve been good instead. But hugo’s throws only look good on hugo.
maybe if the air Giant Swing is done low enough to the ground
I actually like Haggar’s selection because, when you look at it, he’s MvC3 version of Alex. He’s a heavy grappler, but not super-heavy like Zangief or Hugo. He has the same mobility and they figured “let’s do a grappler like Alex but try to buff his weak points”, so I don’t mind. Pipe swing normals, dash grabs take care of that. I like that he doesn’t do the SPD. His Piledriver animates eeriely similar to Alex’s Powerbomb.
The first time I saw Hulk, I thought Hugo would be a better match up for him than Zangief since they’re basically the same size. He has similar moves to Zangief and useful running attacks/throws. Armor for Monster Lariat/Giant Palm Bomber/Meat Squasher wouldn’t be too far fetched.
I wouldn’t mind a Hugo/Juggernaut DLC offering. :wgrin:
Returning to topic; does Haggar do his FF headbutts?
^ I think that was the grab he did in the gameplay vid on Wolverine
