ohh yeah I know but im just pointing out how I can understand it heck I have been shine gimped below 40% enough times to see why,(I doubt they do this that much though).
for Dedede they probably also don’t know about his backtoss or his back air, or pretty much anything about him.
How does anyone know which place is better than the other until it is proven as so? I don’t know if they are amazing, but I am also not sure if they are total crap at Barwl either. Now the tier list looks weird compared to our’s and the US has been shown to be better in the past when it comes to smash (Melee), but we still can’t be sure.
Edit: This was directed at everyone else, but I only quoted this to ask the question how the heck do you know if they are “amazing” at it. lol My bad. NO hard feelings to anyone.
I spoke with Tokido-san at Evo about smash in general, briefly. He said that they view Smash a bit like MvC2, in that USA is way ahead and there is no catching up.
I disagree. When I watch most american matches all I see is throwing out options based solely on trying to stay in optimum positioning. Japanese play seems more thoughtful with high focus on utilizing engine options. (perfect guard, using pushback and move ranges for saftey)
But then again, saying “country is the best” to me is kinda like baseless generalization.
also: I’ve seen tons of chain grabs/ locks/infinites in japanese play. Actually, lot’s of move uses have been x-copied here. (ie: everything pit can do).
The japanese play the game very different from us is what needs to be recognized. They don’t camp to the fullest extent and they don’t space in a really lame manner, as to make the game more interesting for themselves. But yeah the sad but true argument against that is if they had to play a US player who camped and spaced like crazy they’d probably get wrecked
Isn’t Snake banned over there? and metaknight not? I forget
