I wouldnāt be surprised if SFV has previous SF stories in it, like Tekken 6 had a quick reminder of the story so far at the start of the campaign. Or something better with more details, I just donāt think it will be playable (could be if we ask for it, this game will have a lot of characters and support from Capcom so everything is possible).
Capcom-unity being a hellhole for story discussion made me realize something. Once the 16ers make their way to site when the game drops we might have to fight off many Capcom-unity level posters. Prepare for war next month gentlemen.
So weāve seen the Story Mode Trailer and the opening cinematic. Both can be completely unrelated, but I am wondering, do you guys see anything that might be reflective of the story mode?
I honestly think that the fight between Chun-Li, Cammy, and Ken v. M. Bison will happen eventually in the story. Rashid & FANG just seems like a random battle. But I honestly see Ryu v. Necali as part of the story as well.
Like i said, hard to analyze, since we only get a minute and a half long of story trailer, and only like 16 secs worth of the intro cinema, but with the release of story mode trailer, I just wanted to see if both had any links.
Speaking of Juri, does anyone else think sheāll play a role in the supposed downfall of Bison? I donāt think thereās much going for her other than Bison, so Iām assuming sheāll be in SFV only for Bison. Some chitchat is inevitable between her and Chun-Li, Cammy and Guile, but their involvement in Juriās story goes only as far as Balrog killing Dhalsimās elephant. Now that Sethās also out of the picture, I believe her vendetta against Bison will be her main reason storywise for being in this game.
I stand corrected, but not on the Carlos issue. Even though Carlos Blanka could be considered the first āCharlieā, I doubt to think his name was localized into āNashā for the live action film in Japan. Although apparently Wikipedia says that Street Fighter Alpha (Zero in Japan) released in Arcades on June 5th 1995, in Japan with Nash included. The Street Fighter II V animated series debuted first overall on April 10th 1994, but that series Nash wouldnāt make an appearance until episode 19 on August 28th 1995!
Juri can always be a wildcard villain. Even though Bison is responsible for her turning out the way he did I donāt see her going after him. As SFxT shown sheās willing to work with him if need be.
Just a minor correction. The SF2 V series debuted April 10th 95, not 94.
I have my doubts that she will be part of the Cinematic Story Mode. Sheās really a free agent of chaos at this point. Sheād stick with Shadaloo/SIN to ensure her eyeās quality maintenance, but besides that I donāt see how she would have any business with them anymore. I think Capcom will rush characters like Guile, Boxer, Alex, and Urien first. Those 4 are more likely to make it in by June for the story mode update than Ibuki and Juri.
This has also been said many times by now, but Juri also made no indication that she has a vendetta against Bison in SF4 (not even her win quotes). Juri actually seems perfectly happy with how her life turned out.
Some people think itās Juri on the bike in the trailer. I think itās safe to say all the first season DLC will be in the story in some capacity, but maybe that is not possible.
@Daemos
In her rival scene with Bison, it seems to imply she has a vendetta against Bison. She expresses disappointment that Bison showed up so soon, she wanted to save him for last.
Even if sheās not directly responsible for the downfall of Bison, I think she would do whatever she can to make that happen; be it destroying shadaloo, spending all bison dollars, etc. Even with Bison gone I am sure she would not be so one dimensional. She could develop a taste for hurting others, and obtaining more power, and so on.
The recent comics show her being recruited by the illuminati, an opportunity she took to finally get close to Bison and off him, so thatās another possible direction Juriās path can take.
