The amount of Ibuki/Mika homoerotic undertones has increased significantly. With them, Karin, and the inevitable Sakura, I almost expect Elena to complete the 5-(wo)man band:
Leader: Karin
Lancer: Sakura
Smart Guy: Ibuki (âsmartâ as in using trickery)
Big Guy: Mika
"Chick": Elena (more emotional/spiritual than the others)
also, if I had to fit the forces from the cinematic story:
World Warriors
Leader: Chun-Li (fuck you Karin)
Lancer: Guile
Smart Guy: Dhalsim
Big Guy: Zangief
Chick: Cammy
Illuminati
Leader: Kolin
Lancer: Rashid
Smart Guy: Urien (revived Nash)
Big Guy: Nash (at least, the raw fighter of the group)
Chick: Juri
Shadowloo
Big Bad: Bison
Dragon: Vega (fits better than FANG)
Evil Genius: FANG (couldâve been Dragon because he appears so much, but w/e)
Brute: Balrog
Dark Chick: Decapre/Marz, albeit they get redeemed
I love a good read but would it hurt their pockets so much if they turned these short stories into short animated clips? Hell, even the Bengus Prologuesâ format would be better for conveying these stories than just a bland wall of text.
Donât be silly, you saw what he did to Charlie in SF5 who was acting as a proxy for Gillâs power. Psycho Power > Secret Society 66 Secret Fighting Techniques.
He also wiped the floor with him in his CFE ending.
To be fair, I donât think weâve fully seen what Gill is capable of. Iâd like to see what he can do with SFâs modern story telling and focus. Weâve seen Bison grow over countless sequels vs Gillâs stint in the SF3 series and a touch of that in SF5, I want to see what Gill and Urien can really do. They may not be as purely powerful as Bison, but I wanna see how crafty they are with that knowledge. Both sides know of each other if weâre going by the CFN profiles. I donât see Gill as a guy to sit on his laurels and say âOh well, Bisonâs more powerful. The End.â He may have alternate methods to counter or try to compensate â any good warrior would know their weaknesses and how to turn that into something against an opponent they know well.
CTE isnât cannon. Charlie isnât Gill. Thatâs like saying one of the dolls or even one of those lacky soldiers infused with psycho power would beat Gill. Ryu also beats Bison. So I donât know man. I just donât see Bison winning, maybe at most a stalemate.
I stopped to repair the last detail and came to the conclusion that Nancy (wife of Haggar) who appears in Mad Gear Hidout the PSVita in SFXTK, not Jessica.
Bracelets on her left arm
dress with straps
belt at the waist
short hair
Youâre absolutely right. Still though, letâs work with what we do know.
Psycho Power is practically limitless, the ceiling for Bisonâs power is insanely high, limited only by his physical form (which at SF5 could withstand the fullest extent of his power). In fact, Bisonâs ceiling is arguably the highest of any character sans Akuma/Oni (who -urprise surprise- also happen to wield Psycho Powerâs sister energy).
Gillâs power had little to no effect on Bison, and this was AFTER the Black Moons were shut down. Like not even a scratch, and this was the power he imbued his messenger to save the world. Iâd think Gill wouldnât want to cut corners and really give Charlie his all on this one before itâs too late. Now also imagine how powerful Bison wouldâve been if the Descent Program succeeded, he wouldâve been unstoppable to anyone and anything. Bison is essentially near-invincible to everything but Soul Power/Power of Nothingness. Both of which Gill knows shit about.
Helen felt so threatened by Bison ruling the world that she enlisted the help of some of the worldâs strongest fighters to bring him down and they barely could. Not the first time (Alpha3/SF2) and not the second time in SF5.
Final Bison is really THAT powerful. This isnât my inner FANG talking, this is the portrayal of the character that Capcom drew for us.
Yes, we donât know much about Gillâs power and heâs probably ridiculously powerful too, but we DO know a lot about Bisonâs power. And we know that his Achilleâs heel so to speak is nothing Gill can muster so far.
I used to think Gill and Bison were evenly matched for different reasons, but SF5âs portrayal and interpretation of the character demonstrated that Bisonâs final form is supremer.
