This is another MASSIVE weakness of the story.
It doesn’t even repeat the previous full prophecy…and then gives us NOTHING in a prophecy that would talk about Nash. It was really stupid.
Maybe the 3 dolls are the 3 ninjas of karin that bison beaten and then would be brainwashed? if ever they would expand the storymode… or maybe they just don’t include it.
One of the problems of story is that whoever wrote it assumed that everyone viewing it is keenly aware of everything about the SF story. Including something as obscure as Gill’s 2I ending. Even though Kolin repeats part of the prophecy in one scene, she never reads out the full prophecy.
Things that needed to be more clear to make perfect sense of the plot:
1- Rose’s prophecy about Ryu
2- Gill’s motive and the Illuminati prophecy.
3- Bison’s “plan”, his motive (for Ryu, not the world domination thing)
4- Necalli’s reason for emergence (was he lured out? or was this all a coincidence), his link if any to the SNH.
5- Ryu’s special training.
6- Child Hackers! <— WTF!
Anyway, an interesting thing about that Nash though. His character story starts off with him talking about poker games (Rose was also portrayed as the joker card in the image), and his last line before he dies was “time to play my last card”.
I actually wonder if Rose continues her life as a fortune teller, now that her prophecy of Ryu defeating Bison has been fulfilled
It’s also kinda funny but even though the Illuminati prophecy was about Gill (with Helen/Kolin reading it out loud in the Burning Moscow scene), at some point in the story I thought the prophecy was about Nash. Dunno why.
Probably because of Kolin mentioning many times that he was an intergral part to fulfilling the prophecy
Isn’t it bizarre how the people in charge of presenting a coherent story to casuals do a WORSE job than the uber-canon nerds like us that hang out in a story discussion thread?
I’m still salty Rose got no cameo in the story mode. Hell, I’d be fine just seeing her in a dark room with a crystal ball commenting on the C.H.A.I.N.S. project or Bison’s growing Psycho Power. In a game where the emphasis is on defeating Bison, it seems rather odd she’d be totally absent.
I have no doubt that Rose will come and that her character story will be nothing short of revelatory.
Edit- Although to be fair, last we saw Rose her body was in coma and her mind was struggling to regain consciousness. She could technically still be in that physical coma.
What did C.H.A.I.N.S even mean anyway?
Probably something awkward like “Boiling Liquid Expanding Cell Explosion”.
But yeah, CHAINS, PSA, AS. No idea what they stand for.
So they never told us what CHAINS stood for eh? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm…

All we know that Operation CHAINS is about the deployment of 7 PSAs that generate chaos, thereby amplifying Bison’s Psycho Power. Then by some mechanism, some of that excess Psycho Power is redirected into Shadaloo’s AS’es… Empowering them, and binding them to Bison’s will.
So CHAINS probably literally mean chains, as in chaining people to Bison.
PSA = No idea, but I feel the S is for Satellite.
AS = Amplified Soldier (I think @Shockdingo figured this one out).

I’m aware of the card cameo. I’m talking about an actual cameo with the character in the cinematic story mode. This right here was a drop in a bucket.
And good point, Daemos, though she appeared to come to based on her ending. She could hear Guy pleading for her to wake up, then she comes to the realization that her time isn’t up before reaching for the light. In all likelihood, I’d say she was awaken.

There were so many opportunities for cameos in the Story Mode, but yeah, 3d modeling costs money. I would’ve loved to see Rose in particular, even if she was just observing in a crystal ball or something. And it seemed like a waste that Hugo and Poison weren’t hanging out in the wrestling arena with Gief, Mika, Laura, Alex, and Max. Max got a 3d model!!
Max got a model since his design dosent have to much detail. Same for the kanzuki ninja. Capcom did pretty good with what they had and even if it is not perfect there is alot of good thing in the story.
