Full disclosure: I was Albert Wesker for the Resident Evil theme event our airsoft team ran at the field that sponsored us. Complete with full-on Wesker costume. 100% authentic.
Well…he DID fall in lava THEN got blown up by two RPG’s…so I wouldn’t call it a close combat ending for him. I mean chris TRIED to fight him in hand to hand earlier but got bodied easily. Wesker was all “bitch please, we gona have a deja vu like back in spencer’s castle?”
We can get a new big villain with Bison gone, but I want them to be a RESULT of Bison’s actions so his evil lives on in spirit. We already have some candidates for this:
-Juri
-Ed
-Gill (if his rise to power was because of Bison’s plan in SFV)
He’ll come back as many times as it takes, but likely not as the main antagonist all the time.
Even though Necalli will probably eat Bison, I still haven’t forgotten Bison’s win quote to Necalli (“everything is going according to plan”). He’s gonna 1-up everyone in one way or another. I CAN FEEL IT!!!
Juri isn’t main antagonist material. But I really like having her around as a wild card and hope she stays.
Ed is a pair of jeans. He must fulfill his purpose.
Gill already became the main antagonist for a chapter in the series with mixed results.
In a post 3S world, Urien is the only SF character right now that fits the main villain trope. He has the charisma, intellect, and the resources to be a threat on a significant scale.
Although I am hoping SF3 gets what SF2 got with SF4. A game that takes place in the near immediate aftermath of 3S. It covers the events of 3s while setting the stage for something bigger. I’d like that before we spearhead into the far future (5 or more years after 3S).
That’s probably what’s going to happen. Necalli will be attracted to the stench of all those delicious warriors fighting (Bison vs Everyone), and then he will strike.
But I’m thinking that maybe Necalli’s appearance wasn’t a coincidence, and that he has been lured out of hibernation, and maybe just maybe, Bison is counting on Necalli to eat him.
