The SF2 canon does not matter anymore because SFIV’s Bison/Akuma dialogues clearly state that they never met each other prior to the events of the game, therefore Akuma SGS’ing Bison has only happend in SF2 in the game, and in the game only
Bison has no idea who Akuma is, though. His win quote suggests that was his first time even meeting Akuma. That overwrites whatever possible encounter they had in SF2.
Akuma defeating Bison is about as canon as Alpha Akuma beating Bison.

I’ve actually seen some people say the Osborn that returned during Revelations is a clone engineered by the Jackal for revenge, that his memories were generated, and some other crap. It’s clearly stated what took place *after *he was impaled, but that was just merely “an illusion” according to them. I was told I can’t “think beyond what the writers are saying”, because I don’t understand storytelling all that well. That was my cue to go do something more fun than talking to a wall.

SF2 the game plays in its own canon now. The old canon where Charlie died in SFA3.
SF2 as the backstory to SF4 happened completely differently: It’s a merge between SF2 the game and SFA3 the game and the whole stuff plays in a canon where Charlie died in SFA2.
In SF4, Akuma killing or defeating Bison in SF2 isn’t canon anymore, just like Charlie’s existence in the SFA3 plot isn’t canon anymore.

Alpha Bison is confirmed weaker than current Bison. SF4 confirmed his newest body is stronger than all previous. Psycho Drive just replenished his power anyway…it didn’t really add to it.

Most guides and stuff say Bison is as powerful as ever.
But didn’t the scientist guy in the prologue tell Bison they were working to create a body powerful enough for Bison’s maximum Psycho Power, only for Bison to say he doesn’t give a shit about that? He rushed them to just put a body together because he had his eye on a more capable (Ryu) body. Afterwards, the scientist understood and just started the process immediately. Now this doesn’t mean SF4 Bison isn’t superior to Alpha, but wouldn’t this imply that the most powerful body never had a chance to be developed?
Yeah, Bison’s current body, despite being pretty powerful and now at probably the op of this game, even by Alpha standards, is an unfinished one. We can see that clearly as his hair turned white, meaning that the he suffers from accelerated aging, though it doesn’t seem to be altering his physique as we can see from the game (well, that’s the only footage we have, anyway).
Bison right now is basically the MGS4 Solid Snake with Foxdie, only difference is that Snake became an old man while Bison is one only visually, as we don’t quite have an idea what’s actually going on with his genes and such
Or it’s just a classic anime logic when the older you become the more badass you are. Either way works I think
