Aaactually in the new continuity, Akuma never fought Bison.
And did he ever try to actually kill Gen? Where did that happen? I thought he stopped the fight because he saw that Gen was ill?
I wouldnât so much call it ineffective, it still kills Bison and Gill, they just donât stay dead. And it still beat Gouken, even if it didnât kill him.
Against Gen, and SF4+ Gouken though, yes, it seems to straight up be ineffective.

Sagat- 1 out of 1 (Go Hibiki is still dead).
Itâs seems the most effective killer in the series is Sagat, as his sole victim is the only one to stay dead.
