The Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread: ARCADE EDITION!

Nigga you complain about everything. Mel works because it “shows” progression without changing gameplay and the core theme of the series too much. I’d rather not spend the rest of the series playing the same characters with the same plot in the same time period. I want to see a little bit more of the world of Street Fighter, both pre-SF1 and post-SF3TS.

Sura’s or Asura’s are just fierce fighting deities, so it just basically means he’s walking a path of continuous fighting and carnage. If you’ve seen a game by the name of “Asura’s Wrath” than you’ve seen the reference to this, as the game is based on those concept.

I could’ve swore there were more of these, I only have a handful left…

(He’s not a power based fighter, but Tom is the trainer of Alex, and seems to be a former soldier of the military)

Name: Tom
Height: 189cm
Weight: 79kg
Blood type: A
Birthday: July 29
Home Country: United States
Favorite things: training, Patricia, croissant
Dislikes: exhaust gas, rats

He had been a pretty good MMA fighter in the military, but was forced to retire in the wake of a " certain incident". He runs a fitness gym in New York, he picked up his sons friend Alex after finding out he had a talent for fighting. It just so happens, the “certain incident” he happens to be intertwined with seems to have been viewed as a detestable act by citizens and military personnel alike.

(She’s not a fighter, but a lovely young lady. Shadaloo has marked these people, so it makes no difference and we must keep her blacklisted.)

Name: Patricia
Height: 162cm
Weight: secret
Blood type: A
Birthday: September 14
Home Country: United States
Favorite things: Tom’s cuisine
Dislikes: scary stories, airplanes

Tom’s only daughter. She’s friendly although she can be a bit loud at times. She’s good at making sandwiches and cooking in general. She seems to not like horror movies but this may be unintentional, as zombie films happen to be her most favorite genre.

New SF1 Birdie is quite the looker. He really let himself go.

@DRW
This is the training guide that Touchdown keeps referring to.

It was source book given to game journalists by Capcom for review purposes. The training guide was never commercially available to the public. The training guide is a gloried manual if you ask me.

Mel doesn’t work because he should never be more than 5 years old because there should never be a 15 year time skip.

That shit killed SF once already, and has ruined Soul Calibur twice now.

If you don’t want to play what the series is, play a different series.

How did everyone miss this?!

Jojo and Caesar confirmed for DLC!

Oh yes, she surely does like that

I’m disappointed Joe is from Missouri. I really wanted him to be Boston-Irish.

Hmm…interesting, taking on disciples? Maybe Rose isn’t in the first season roster because she’s building an army behind the scenes? Could be cool to see her take on a more active and mentoring role in her war against Vega.

Eh, in the end if they want him in, they’ll give him a movelist, Capcom can be pretty creative when they want to. He’s the heavy weapons guy and mechanic, sure, but if they wanted to they could say he’s also got his own style of unarmed combat or he knows anything from Krav Maga sumo with a cyborg-strength garnish. With Delta Red being so elite, I’m sure they’re not just limited to one type of combat. Cammy’s a practical superhero with Spider-man like agility, but her special skill is knife throwing (we never see her in the game with guns or knives, but on the field, she’d use them). Wolfman’s good with a tonfa, but also a capable soldier. Even though they fulfil specific roles militarily they don’t have to be so limited in a tournament.

I’m not begging for him to be on the playable roster, but if he got added in season 7, him just being the heavy weapons guy wouldn’t automatically make him MvC2 Cable, though it’s not out of the realm of possibility (I just hope they don’t add an all guns candidate to a SF). Tl;dr version, like Ralph and Clark, these guys are soldiers, but in a tournament they could leave the ordinance home.

Interesting, because of Jean Reno, I thought Tom would be a French guy living in America. Hmm, I wonder what this…incident is. It seems really bad if the public and military hate it so much…Any theories? It’s pretty darn vague.

That’s interesting… and worth to wait… I gues that why we get short hair ken as an alt costume too…

It feels like Ryu and Ken journey but instead being mystic rather than martial artist… they are both trained in ways of soul power and the other one is having problems by being seduce of psycho power… that would be the dictator new interest… wow that a better duo than the yun and yang pair…

Agree! Since Capcom have prove to be better on establishing prequel games and spin off than doing time skip/new future saga games in one universe…

(Oh, it’s Gorbachev!..please forgive me I will speak no further.)
(However here’s his description)

Gorbachev (Great Person)
Height: 172cm
Weight: 92kg
Blood type: O
Birthday: March 2
Home Country: Russia
Favorite things: international exchange, world peace, wrestling
Dislikes: transgression

He is Zangief’s senior, and also the captain of the famous wrestling unit at the University. Zangief says that he was on active duty during the time of the “Perestroika battle”, when he was known as the “Russian Eagle”. He is proud as being described as invincible. After graduation he served in politics, and then eventually as the Leader representing Russia to countries around the world. He also conducts social International wrestling events.

(Most of you are probably thinking “who’s Max?”! There is actually no person Shadaloo doesn’t know more about. He is… *“shows picture of black guy from SF2 intro”)
(Not one of the seniority)

Name: Max
Height: 187cm
Weight: 93kg
Blood type: A
Birthday: April 1
Home Country: United States
Favorite things: himself, gambling, shiny things
Dislikes: being sober

He is a heavyweight boxer, with speed and technique behind his punches. The man rushed into a foreign fighting tournament, but he is punsihed because of his bad behavior and constant trouble making. He loves gambling, especially his prize money. He also appears in SFV, somewhere!

(Similar to how you wondered about Max, most of you are probably thinking “who is Scott?”! There is actually no person Shadaloo doesn’t know more about. He is… *“shows picture of white guy from SF2 intro”)
(Not one of the seniority)

Name: Scott
Height: 191cm
Weight: 95kg
Blood type: B
Birthday: September 10
Home Country: United States
Favorite things: Street Fights
Dislikes: caterpillars

He is currently a bouncer who was once a former boxer. His rate of swerving was intense, and he was able duck and dodge through opponents attacks within a razors edge away from him. He uses his skills to engage in street fights with city thugs. He seems to enjoy his weekend past time of black bass fishing at the lake. He is not Cody. Unfortunately, he does not make an appearance in SFV.

So apparently Max is somewhere in the game (as a background character perhaps)?

So…another black boxer in trouble for breaking rules?

Good lord, Japan…if you’re going to be overtly racist at least try to be racist in new and exciting ways maybe?

It sounds like Tom received a dishonorable discharge from the military, which could be for a number of different reasons. He doesn’t seem like a shady type of guy but apparently he has had some dirt on him in the past.

LMAO the Gorbachev profile

So…should we update his Wikipedia entry with this new info?

They should have put something that would identify him as scott like they did with max, just a name in a shirt something… his pretty much generic in design while the others were interesting…

His design is supposed to be throwback of Cody’s old Final Fight design. Which is why it’s so plain and at the end they have to add that he’s not Cody.

Mel have ridicolous good tastes for a such young kid

Ok, now i can start hope for a male italian char, and then be disappointed when Rose happen to SFV :frowning:

I’m starting to think that no Street Fighter character is from regular China anymore?

Alright we’re down to the final two which I reserved as the final bosses of the original game. I’m actually surprised at the exclusion of some the side characters that actually do appear in the game, like Helen, or even Dhalsim’s family who’s appeared in multiple titles including this one. These entries are supposed to be a black list compiled by a Shadaloo operative (as mentioned in Patricia’s entry), so I take it Sim’s family is in the clear? Either that or there entries we’ve yet to uncover? In any case these two are the last ones…

(The rabble-rouser of the Muay Thai world! He attacks with a sharp heel! His avariciousness for strength should be emulated by us! Nevertheless, featuring a distinctive hairstyle!)

Name: Adon
Height: 182cm
Weight: 72kg
Blood type: B
Birthday: Unknown
Home Country: Thailand
Favorite thing: Muay Thai
Dislikes: Sagat, guys who talk big

The former disciple of Sagat, who took the chance to depart after his master’s loss to Ryu. He is an arrogant fighter claiming to be Muay Thai’s strongest warrior, he is one who will always look down upon his opponents in confidence of himself. He possesses a considerable amount of talent wielding his sharp kicking technique, and he fights to prove that he’s that he’s the strongest. He seems to be very popular among players in Thailand. He never learned how to do a Tiger Shot from his teacher.

(At last, we have finally come to the final boss of the original Street Fighter! The wound that adorns his chest has been apart of his image since Street Fighter 2, but even so he’s still great! I couldn’t believe it when I heard he left Shadaloo!)

Name: Sagat
Height: 226cm
Weight: 78kg
Blood type: B
Birthday: July 2
Home Country: Thailand
Favorite things: strong opponents
Dislikes: capricious people, Shoryuken

The Emperor who was honored and praised as the invincible Tiger of the Muay Thai world. No man on the planet can match the power in his kicking techniques. He once suffered a defeat against Ryu, which shredded his chest, but he continued training afterwards in order to obtain new found strength. He continued his training in order to gain revenge against Ryu, and in retribution for the scar received from his Shoryuken he develops the Tiger Uppercut! He lost one of his eyes during a fight with Dan’s father Go Hibiki. Although he was once a considerable badass during his youth, he gains the respectable character of a man after his encounter with Ryu. He currently reside in a village located deep within the mountains of Thailand, although he keeps his past a secret. The villagers were startled at the appearance of the mysterious fighter, but there is also a side of him that they can depend on. Now here at this current time, comes the end of the primary Street Fighter characters.

(I guess Sagat would have been the final entry on the site anyway.)
