Her CA doesn’t have her clenching her fist so I wouldn’t call hers a one inch punch, more like a one inch palm.
Fun fact about her CA is that it’s called the Kanzuki-Ryu Hadorokushiki Hasha no Kata (神月流 覇道六式 覇者の型) or in English: Kanzuki’s style Stream of the Hado Type 6: Form of the Champion (sounds kinda like a Bleach attack imo), but the characters that make up her spelling of Hado are actually different from the traditional Hadoken. Her Hado (覇道) translates to “Road to Supremacy” while the traditional (波動) means “Surge”. Although she may use the Hado, she has her own patented way of writing for it which further suits her style, and apparently you’re only seeing the 6th one out of a possible (?).
So going back to the opening and Story trailer, it appears these fights will occur:
Ryu vs Necalli
Ken, Chun, Cammy and Nash vs Bison
FANG vs Rashid
Chun vs Rashid
Vega vs Dhalsim
Mika vs Laura
Birdie vs Karin (doesn’t seem like a serious, high-stakes kind of thing, though)
And I guess Gief is just chilling? Who do y’all think will win their respective battles?
Nearest I can tell, the cinematic story will be several subplots unfolding at once:
-Chun/Cammy/Guile vs Shadowloo
-Rashid fights Chun but they decide to work together, with Rashid tracking down FANG for the location of his friend
-Wrestling subplot with Gief, Mika, and Laura
-Ryu and Dhalsim vs Necalli, may change locations from India to the Shadowloo base
-Karin probably manages to get involved with everything somehow
Wow. Had no idea there were ever rumors of Cammy being Claw’s sister or Guile’s illegitimate child. That’s really interesting to know. Great translations, bak.
When I was younger playing I remember thinking Cammy could’ve been M. Bison’s daughter, but then they had that phase when they were supposed to be ex lovers or something and I threw that theory out. I can definitely see a rumor for her being Guile’s illegitimate daughter because the similarities are hard to miss (both blonde, wearing green militarized attire, tattoos/ leg paint camo, similar techniques likes suplexes, special grapples, and spinning backfists)
You know, going back to the whole Story we’re getting in June - I can’t help but wonder how Bison is going to put his plan in motion
We already know that there’s at least a 2-3 year gap between Street Fighter IV and V, and SFIV’s plot conclusion was basically the destruction of SIN and the death of Seth, after which I suppose both Bison and Juri went into the shadows. So how long did the Bison spheres take Shadaloo to complete? Was Bison planning this since a long time ago? Or is his scientist team (along with FANG) so advanced that they managed to build a doomsday machine (7 of them, to be exact?)
This is the screenshot from the Story Trailer where we’re seeing army soldiers witnessing a countdown and there are several red dots, which are most likely are where the game stages are (for example - you can see the New York and Rio dots)
Questions are:
Are these the locations of Shadaloo bases from which Bison is launcing the Spheres? Or are these locations that the Spheres are going to hit with the EMP shockwaves?
And what is the countdown for? Did Bison gave the world governments 24 hoursto meet his terms? Or is this a way of bison just playing with humans until he unleashes his plan on them?
I also suppose that the Spheres are going to cover up the Sun (to wakeup Necalli), the world powers try to find out what the fuck is happening and when they do - in an attempt to maybe launch missiles/nukes to destroy the spheres (I mean, they can’t have THAT strong of an armor, can they?) - Bison unleashes an EMP wave upon Earth which disables all the electricity, meaning people wouldn’t be able to launch their nuclear weaponry
I just wonder if Bison launched them preemtively and kept them hidden at the Earth’s orbit (maybe in some sort of a stealth mode?) or if we’re gonna be witnessing him launching these Spheres during the Cinematic Story
Come to think of it… I wonder why Guile is the poster boy for rumors of illegitimate children, and even before SF3 era…?
Anyways, in honor of March’s upcoming DLC character
I guess Guile was a poster boy because of the many stories about (even to this day) military men fathering children all across the world. Most probably assumed Guile came across a nice young lady in the UK and made it happen. I can totally see how a rumor like that could get started. Then again, I’m the same guy that thought T. Hawk was Ryu’s long lost father…
Nice stuff on Alex. I really wish there was more information on his battle with Gill. One guy can do pyrokinesis, meteors, and resurrection, while the other guy just throws you around like a rag-doll. I wonder how Alex won that battle? I remember when people said Gill most likely held-back significantly. It’s easy to see why one would think that, but I prefer the idea of Alex winning through determination and strength rather than the guy giving him a free win.
I know you still have some left, but is there anything in particular you’d like me to scan for the time being?
In general I think people tend to see the tiers as way too wide and mostly because a lot of the upper tier guys do a lot of visibly inhuman stuff like Gill’s fire/ice & meteors, etc…or Bison’s telekinesis and what-not…but ALL the other SF characters are super-human and do super-human stuff. Especially the tier of main characters like Chun-Li, Ryu, Alex and such. Yeah Alex is a guy that “just” throws people…except I guarantee the dude could suplex a truck. Literally
@YagamiFire Agreed. People tend to forget that if it doesn’t have flashy ki-effects it doesn’t mean they’re weak. Gen is terrifying, but we never see lights, or elemental attacks from him. Guys like Gief probably have super durable skin and might be harder to cut than a normal person. With Alex, his strength, speed, finess and such may have made more of an impact than how flashy his flash chop is. In the end, once he gets his hands on you, it’s time to kiss the dirt.
