The Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread: ARCADE EDITION!

I always wanted him to return…

And you have a foot fetish. Your point?

Just thought if something about Gief. If spinning lariat was originally Eagle’s signature special, and spinning pile driver was originally Haggar’s, then Gief’s only true trademark specials are his green hand, and his Vskill he acquired in SFV.

All right. Here’s the rest of the SF1 profiles:

Second part of the Bengus/Kiki interview, here.

So, just as I assumed: “Alpha”-style plot, no mention of a tournament.

“No taim for luzeers”

Here I was thinking spinning lariats weren’t physically possible in the real world

That’s an ancient Russian technique.

My first three translations will be for Ryu, Ken, and Gen.

Hello everyone on this story thread! LONG time lurker here (lurked here since I could remember, probably started early 2000s sometime)! I’ve always considered this place intimidating (super hardcore), lol. I’ve never posted here because it’s kinda scary. I really don’t want to be torn to ribbons. I like the story even if it is dumb.

If anyone has seen my posts on Capcom Unity or DeviantArt over the last couple years, I really like T.Hawk and Juli. I’m a shipper, you can laugh. I don’t know if I will post more here…I don’t feel very confident atm. I assume I will go back to CU mostly.

Thank you very much for reading this (if you do)!

I just wanted to say I REALLY hope Capcom doesn’t retcon Julia/Julia! It probably doesn’t mean much but I’d be SO sad. :bawling:

I really wanted to give my tiny, tiny 2 cents. That’s it.

Welcome Silver! I know we seem hardcore, but I promise we only bite when people shitpost (Cipher) or demonstrate a cancer inducing level of stupid (Magegg). As for shipping, while you can’t post anything dirty, feel free to stop by the fan fiction library (very bottom of the index page) and share your work.

Actually, for lack of meaningful discussion, what ships do you guys like or find really common online? I think Chun/Nash is damn near canon, but internet types prefer Ryu/Chun, Guile/Chun, Cammy/Chun, and Alex/Elena.

I don’t do ships. I don’t care to see any character in a romantic relationship. Shippers seem like an insane bunch that like to pair characters up for the hell of it not taking character chemistry and compatibility into account.

Eh, I agreed with that for the longest time. But, come to think about it, ships can provide another way to look at a character, given the relationship is something that could actually be believed. Hawk/Juli is implied, and Nash/Chun is something that could sort of work if you really look at the characters. The essential rule is NEVER BREAK CHARACTER TO MAKE A SHIP WORK. That is the number one flaw with most shippers, and it makes ships as a whole look random and bad.

Guy + Rose

Chun + Nash

Ryu + Sakura

Poison + Cody

Mika + Gief

Guy + Maki

Cammy + Juni and Juri and Juli and…

(gasp!) @Hawkingbird You called me insane! It can’t be! AHHHHHHHHHH (bangs face on wall til blood rushes out). I must belong in an insane asylum then cause I ship Ryu & Chun-Li together.

Guy has a fiance so that ship is sunk. Mika and Sakura have Admiration for Gief and Ryu respectively. That doesn’t mean they want the dick. Mika relationship with Gief is as clear as day in their respective stories. She wants to be on his same level in terms of skill and achievements and wants to learn as much as she can from him.

I like your idea for that Dolls harem though.

Hah. Retsu is the Dan of the SF1 roster.

In terms of in game effectiveness yes.

Give the context, this artwork seems to make a lot more sense now.
