Iād be great if she had a big role in the story this time around. Let her fight an evil dude for once. Her tomboyish charm can beat the crap out of every dude in the game, and itās about time she actually had a few new moves.

Liking the cameos so far. Only thing I donāt like is sakura still being a tomboy schoolgirl. So many characters showed signs of change during the last two games and Sakura is either frozen in time forever, or sheās dumb enough to never graduate.
Though I still have hopes that sheāll be different when she comes to the game. Iām hoping that the screenshot there is some sort of fash back, though thatās kinda hard with Birdie lying down there.[/details]

*Karinās attacks also use Hado power like Ryu and Ken
*Apparently Oro fought with one of Karinās ancestors, which sends her on a quest to find him (which leads her to Dhalsim who has already run into him)
*Glade of Ninjaās (now canon name for Ibukiās clan) are employed by Karin
*Laura senses the SnH in her fight against Ryu. Ryu is fully aware that heās using it, and Laura mentions she likes it. Both make a lighthearted situation of it.
*Necalli is basically Pillar men meets Majin Buu (guess Seth really was Cell saga). Heās literally an ancient being who awakenās every thousand years or so to do battle with strong warriors. He posses many powers not witnessed in regular play including the ability to melt into a puddle, and extend and wrap his arm around his opponents to literally absorb them. His whole story mode seems to be alluding to a prophecy, so basically none of the events have really yet to occur. Although by the end of his story it seems like the events are about to unfold.
*FANG was originally apart of a large Asian crime syndicate called the Nguuhao, which has pledged loyalty to Shadaloo. The gang is notable for kidnapping children and training them to use poison. FANG is a title given to their leader (The FANG of Nguuhao), he is the one that becomes Bisonās right hand. His poison is very dangerous, with the potential to melt flesh.
*Bison exterminated all the Nguuhao after they attempted a coup, but he left their leader FANG alive because of the strength he displayed.

I give up. I caved in and watched Chun-Liās story mode.
MAJOR SPOILERS IN MY REVIEW

Let me say first and foremost, I was really critical about Laura Baileyās voice acting in this iteration of SFV. This time in story mode, I take it all back. I think she really did exceptionally well in regards to Chun-Liās development. Going from headstrong, reckless, and aggressive in the flashbacks to a nurturing, caring, almost motherly feel with Li-Fen (which is the little girlās name apparently)
I knew that the story was gonna feature a flashback to her pre-SFII days where she was a cop, searching for answers of her fatherās death. I was surprised that Chun-li never got a definitive answer, but all that was revealed to her was that heās dead, much to the shock of Chun-Li. I thought they wouldāve given more answers but with what theyāve given us, it perfectly explains her character. Her story mode was great for her character development. Realizing that she doesnāt have to do things herself, now that she has the help of Nash and Guile in her corner.
I liked how it all tied into Chun-Li and Li-Fen. How Chun-Li explained how she went from a young girl to the stron woman that she is right now. And having Li-Fen being inspired to be just as strong as her was really a significant moment in Chun-Liās life. We all know that she later decides to take care of children, but this is a great first step in realizing her calling. (Called it!)
I was disappointed in how short story mode is. All that we got from her was 3 fights. I think Capcom missed a great opportunity in diving deep into their characters. They coulve done so much more, given her more of a struggle, given us more answers, so so much more than just a 3 fight sample. Iām hoping that there is more to it. Maybe some downloadable content in the future for all characters that serves as a continuation to the story. But for now, itās great to see our Chun-Li doing what she does. [/details]
