Yes, the guide does have a Misc section at the very end but it’s pretty small. Good idea on the companion guide for random trivia like this. Maybe if I can get some more stuff together like this and the Nash blood type thing and it could justify it.
This came up in the Character Request when the subject of Q’s origin came up, and I felt like posting it here, because it’s kind of a backstory theory/wish I came up with there:
Now that they’ve revealed that Twelve is called Twelve because he’s the 12th iteration of the G-Project, not because he’s one of 12 identical subjects, I want them to make it so that Necro, Effie and Q are all earlier iterations.
If the Twelve and Eleven can shapeshift, I want it so that Necro and Effie are, like, subjects Seven and Six. Necro can’t shapeshift, but he can stretch, make it so Effie is flexable, but cant’ stretch, etc.
Then I want Q to have been a super early part of the project. Probably subject One. And their earliest attempt actually had the opposite effect, where it made his flesh super hard instead of super flexible, and also messed him up in such a way as he can’t speak and has to wear the mask.
I like all the ideas here, but considering all these within the general SF lore makes it look like everything the series has going for it is test subjects, cloning, experimenting etc. I want Illuminati to be drastically different from Shadaloo. Their origins and basic motives look different as is, but everything else is becoming way too similar. They should focus more on the occultist side of Illuminati rather than its scientific side, IMO.

Well, the only one I’m actually adding there is Q. Twelve, Necro and Effie being part of the G-Project is already canon. I only added the part about Necro and Effie also being Numbers.

One of the interesting things about one of the recent japanese artbooks UDON published in the States (either SF20 or SF25, I don’t have them in front of me right now), it showed a style guide for Chun-Li for the Street Fighter II Animated Movie. One of the Capcom artists had strict notes on how to make her character look for the movie. They might have had Guile, too I don’t remember. Maybe something similar existed in the fabled SFIIAM artbook that doesn’t show up on ebay anymore.
Anyway, I was thinking they may have had some kind of style guide or set of rules before, but since the series’ return, the current producers (e.i. Ono) haven’t been as strict , or maybe they just don’t care. Turning all of the characters into Steroid Monkeys and Titty Monsters was a huge mistake, IMO.

I have two artbooks on the Animated Movie, one is “Street Fighter II Movie: Perfect Album” and the other is “The complete works of Street Fighter II Movie” (which looks like the best of the two), I don’t know if any of these is the artbook you’re talking about.

I have to apologise to @“Doctrine Dark”. I was searching for info about Hoimei’s and Shaomei’s names in kanji, because the article about Midnight Bliss in CFJ mentioned their restaurant… And I realised Doctrine Dark had already posted the article about it nine months ago, and I completely failed to notice it!
So, Hoimei is actually 彗梅 Huìméi “Broom plum”, and Shaomei 小梅 Xiǎoméi “Little plum”. It’s interesting to note that it’s unclear whether the activity their father owns is a restaurant or a greengrocer. 昇竜軒 Shēnglóngxuān (Shōryūken in Japanese, “Rising Dragon House” 
) has been canonised as a greengrocer now according to their SFV CFN profiles… Which seems consistent with Yun and Yang’s SF3 ending.
However, by the time of 3rd strike, it seems that it has become a restaurant.
Then again, Huìméi’s CFN profile, although canonising her father’s activity as a greengrocer, shows her with a typical Chinese bamboo steamer for dumplings…
