So they can only cameo and reference her but not outright feature her. Oh, well that dashed away my hopes for Ibuki-Linn.
But there’s a other character from Warzard/Red Earth that can fit with Ibuki: Mai Ling/Tao. Think about it, same time period, both CPS3 characters and similar design perspectives too. Plus a underrated and oft-forgotten series gets to shine.

when Capcom release it’s D&D beat em ups for arcades D&D was owned by Tactical Studies Rule ( TSR). in 1997 TSR was bought out by Wizards of the Coast. then in 1999 Wizards of the Coast was bought by Hasbro.

They could do commando beret alt ibuki with slightly alteration of Linn costume probably the vest cover and the body joint paddings design to separate her and end up to be inspired by Linn, like they did with Rose so it wouldn’t be promoted as a crossover alt that addresses Linn.
Actually I wanted Mai ling to be Juri because of the unconventional standing stance and special moves which I posted in here and the extra costume thread a year ago I started but Mai ling is not bad also for Ibuki.

Just a bit of curiosity: when Takeshi Rikiō transitioned to pro wrestling from sumō, Japanese wrestling legend Kenta Kobashi actually proposed to him the stage name Edmond Inoue (Inoue is Rikiō’s actual surname). Too bad he refused the Street Fighter connection…

Chun is too short in the original art work. She should be a little bit shorter than Fei Long. Instead she’s near equal in height with Cammy. The newer art is actually a little more accurate from what I can. Ken and Ryu’s height was reduced to 5’9" in SFV. It was listed as 5’10 or 5’11" in some cases previously. Laura is 5’9" and she’s equal height with Ken and Ryu. Kolin is 5’6", Chun is 5’6.5". Cammy was listed as 5’4" in SF2, but is 5’5" in SFV. You know looking at it…I think they were trying to be height accurate in the second picture.

Nah Sigma is clearly designed to be MM’s “Bison”, see the Boss status and the eternal evil smile,steel pads, cape etc…
or watch him in more modern graphic, they gone hard for the Bison vibe as pose/expression etc
Just imagine last ASF fight with Ryu vs Bison as X vs Sigma 
Also in SF4 Bison almost got a bald alt, he got the look

You know, Colonel (MMX, not BN) would be good for Rashid having similar beard structure and white clothes. Even Colonel+Iris have Arabian military influences in them.
I wonder how tall Sagat and Blanka would be in the a more newer chart, I never thought that Guile was look to be that Tall.
Guile is another character that had his height reduced in SFV. Guile was 6’1 in SF2. He’s 5’11" in SFV.
