Why can’t he work on the comic even during the hiatus? If he was drawing just one page a week during the last Haitus the Dark continent arc would have been done by now (or almost done).
Can he at least write it and hire someone else to draw it? The nigga is a millionare, i am sure he can pay an assistant 70k a year to draw so he could save his back.
Pretty sure its more than his back though. He just can’t handle stress well because he never took care of himself very well.
Between Togoshi and Naoko’s royalties off of YYH and Sailor Moon alone they should have plenty of money not only to hire a staff but to start their own manga studio…
oh wait, Naoko already OWNS a fucking studio but I am not sure if it’s for actual in house artwork or music.
I think it’s both with Naoko she got some long ass money her and Toriyama practically get blank checks at this point .

In Togashi’s most recent interview he said he likes to have full control over all aspects of his work, even if his artwork suffers at times. He takes pride in knowing that he created everything.

There are the catastrophe’s, which Alluka is heavily alluded is one. The wood men appear like they’ve taken down really strong hunters and even grandpa Zoldyck and Netero almost died there so it will be interesting in the year 2024 when we get there assuming it is the same length as Berserk if I remember right (8 years or was it 6?).
