He got hit the first time for real, accepted the trade (which was mostly in his favor) for damage and went back to zoning lmfao
the second time was just a clone
i really think that hisoka is gonna have to have something else up his sleeve if he wants to win the fight
i cannot think that he is just going to win with bungee gum setups unless the usage of bungee gum invokes another contract that shows another sub ability or something entirely new
I still kind of think Hisoka is going to win it for narrative purposes, but Chrollo definitely has a dominant upper hand (so to speak). Hisoka is such a dominant physical attacker that he could still pull the upset if he can create an opening.
Weird thing though is remembering now the number of characters currently in play that neither of these guys are on the level of. Iâm not even sure how either of them would fair against Killua or (if he got his nen back) Gon.
Oh, nice. This fight is getting even more complex. [/not sarcasm]
Iâm surprised that Hisoka didnât expect that Sun & Moon would be on the head he was using either, but maybe thatâs not what happened at the end of this chapter. Itâs difficult to tell, especially since they didnât show who Chrollo was controlling with Black Voice yet. Either way, yeah, Hisoka is looking pretty fucked here, which doesnât surprise me. That said, we at least got to see one more great nightmare face out of him and see just how ridiculously versatile Bungee Gum is if he does die here.
Itâs quite debatable whether Hisoka is out-and-out stronger than Chrollo physically, especially since Chrollo has constantly shown himself to be relatively cautious for all of his marvelous ability to the point where he almost comes off as lazy at times as well in addition to being pragmatic about things.
Itâs less debatable whether Killua or Gon currently stand much of a chance against Chrollo or Hisoka: they donât, especially Gon whose abilities are currently still too close-range and linear even if he does get his powers back any time. Killua and Gon certainly have great potential, obviously, but even with as strong theyâve gotten so quickly, they have far less overall experience and have lost somewhat soundly to characters who are probably weaker than Chrollo and Hisoka in the form of Shoot and Knuckle (and, technically, Palm), neither of whom had abilities that perfectly countered their own. It also doesnât help that when we last saw both Killua and Gon at their strongest, they were also greatly emotionally compromised at the time to the point of both having differing type of breakdowns towards the end of the Ant arc. They could win against Chrollo or Hisoka, but it would probably only be in the same way that Gonâs fight against Genthuru ended in victory: getting crippled or otherwise severely injured alongside with taking extreme advantage of prep-time and the terrain to win.
(It also doesnât help that it wouldnât at all surprise me if Hisokaâs Bungee Gum screws with Killuaâs lightning-based abilities to at least some degree given that Bungee Gum partially emulates rubber.)
All that said, Iâll agree that there are quite a few characters weâve been introduced to that are potentially stronger than either Chrollo or Hisoka still, but of the ones that are still alive, the only one weâve really seen anything from is Ging. By Hades, aside from Ging, the only OG Zodiacs whose abilities we even know anything about at this point are Mizaistom (the Ox/Cow) and Saiyu (the Monkey) and beyond the only other characters we know anything about that are maybe stronger (as fighters) are Zeno and Silva. It doesnât help that either Chrollo or Hisoka are likely dying here, so weâre unlikely to ever get a direct comparison against either one of them.
Hisoka has a trick, but going on past fights he likely really did lose his limbs. He was able to bring them back when cut off with bungee gum but now they are blasted to pieces.
He canât fight at the range he has an advantage anymore. He might have a trick, but without that he is clearly done even if that attack didnât get him. Chrollo would have to do something foolishly absent minded to lose at this point.
The only thing I can see him attempting at this point is something similar to what Neteo did to take out the ant King, but that wouldnât make sense for a few reasons, one of those reasons being that at least one of them has to survive. I still think Hisokaâs deadly with one arm and one leg and he still has that one head attached to his nen⌠Iâll predict that Chrollo will win but Hisoka will survive and escape somehow.
Over on reddit some people were saying Hisoka is getting his own spinoff manga series done by a different author that got announced a few days ago. Making a lot of people think Chrollo will lose. It could be a prequel or something so no reason he HAS to win. As long as Chrollo can keep his distance Hisoka isnât much of a threat in his current condition.
I could see them both surviving, too injured to continue the fight. Maybe have some Phantom Troupe members near by waiting in the wings to patch them up.
Are we anticipating any future fights that involve Chrollo even more than Hisoka? What would interest you more at this point, Ging vs Hisoka or Ging vs Chrollo⌠or even the Phantom Troup vs Kurapika?
I donât see Hisoka winning mainly because the fight is from his POV, and his POV has mainly been âwtf this is bullshitâ. To win from here he would have to legit 1-shot him, and with the tools that we know he has (gum and texture), Iâm not seeing that happen.
